Not that we have many worries about yoda going bot but, based on this thread (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thread=182116&m=1), it looks like to would be a good idea to have someone else at least run as a backup.

Tungi will be part of Yoda's staff, so why not put him in the shadows? If he agrees of course =P.

Seems like a sensible insurance policy. I was run over by two cars a couple of years ago. I had my appendix burst and rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. I have been in a single engine plane in a storm while the pilot was preying. I have been in a large plane in a hurricane. I have had guys come at me with knives. I have been threatened with a machette. I have had people fire guns near me in an oasis in Oman where only years before they swore to kill all foreigners. I visited Egypt while the insurgency promised to kill all tourists. I was in a car crash in the Empty quarter of the Arabian desert. I have been in a bomb scare (it was a hoax). I have been hit by cars several times. I was poisoned in Syria (by myself, silly me) and actually said my goodbyes to the world.

Ok now I am a lot more calm and settled now than I used to be, and my biggest danger now is probably overeating, but it still sounds like a good idea.

Are you related to Sir Richard Burton, by any chance? Anyway, I also think Tungi is the right choice.

Not at all, I just used to be a bit of an adventurer and travel is still one of my hobbies. After the elections if anyone is interested I will tell you guys some stories. I had a very peaceful time in India but Sri Lanka was a little dramatic.

Ok I can do that if that happens (unlikely, but kinda worried after hearing little bit of yodabig's story :P).

So should I put myself as the candidate as well now?

Which part of Sri Lanka did you visit? (ofc it's a small island, so probably Colombo?). I live in Sri Lanka, so I'm curious to know where you visited, when you visited and so on :)

Well the funny thing is Sri Lanka is one of the few nations I have been to where I never visited the capital. We were visiting during the election (1999-2000) and things were hairy. When we arrived the airport was in lockdown and at first we thought it was some sort of scam but a suicide bomber had attempted to assassinate the PM the day before and there were bits of head and hair on the front page of the newspaper. Welcome to Sri Lanka.

Before we even arrived we had done some research. Sir Lanka is perfectly safe as long as you don't go to the north. Or the east. Or the south. Or the Capital.

So once we were allowed to leave the airport we went straight to Kandy. It is like paradise on Earth. Spent ages there and it seemed so nice. Funny some UN election observers were staying in our hotel and we said, "The election is going well."

They replied, "Except for the 1,073 reported incidents of electoral violence." Gulp.

We were even visiting a small town one day, it all seemed fine to us but back at the hotel we heard there had been an election related murder there.

Anyway it was beautiful and full of awesome historic sites. We visited Dambulla, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya (As an Arthur C Clarke fan I had wanted to go there for years) and Anuradhapura (right now I am touching a leaf from the Sacred Sri Maha Bodhi - the oldest historically documented tree in the world).

Finally we went to Negumbo for a short break before flying to India.
