Hi guys,

Today the national team of Bolivia came to Indonesia to play against our boys in the second-round match of the Consolation tournament. As expected, we lost the previous match that was played at Slovensko and now we need to be good hosts and to send our guests back home with as many baskets as possible in their basket.

The match starts at 1 PM, I hope to see you all at the stadium cheering for our young fellas

As I announced, we had an easy win against the Bolivia U21 squad. We scored almost 100 points as it was

Bolivia 79 - 99 Indonesia

Now we are waiting for the next opponents that are coming from the first round of the World Championship.

Few days ago we got our opponents for the first round of competition. We gonna play:
vs. Latvia
@ Swerige
@ Makedonija
vs. Barbados
@ Hayastan
vs. Rep. Dominicana

I expect to have at least 3 wins but will try to have 5. It will be risky and possible can lead us to have less wins than expected but who dares - wins.

Tommorow we have a game against Latvia on our court. I would like to have you all watching the game and cheer for our young guys while trying to get one more win for Indonesia.

Hope we will celebrate at the end of the match!

Latvija 110 - 88 Indonesia (62267)

We tried to surprise our today opponent and to win the game at home court but we failed. Unfortunately, this generation of the National Team has problems with outside players, and all our attacks are based under the hoop therefore it is easy to read our tactic.

I am still considering involving players that are 20 years old to gain experience and to be well prepared for next season...

Next Monday we will play against Sverige, a team that is similar to us but they will be hosts and an advantage is on their side.

Would like to call coaches to take care of the game shape of players for the upcoming matches.

Today we gonna play against Sverige. The game starts at 12.30 AM your time so it will be hard for you to follow it but I hope would have time.

Nevertheless, I hope I will be writing a happy message here after the match

Unfortunately, we suffered big loss.

Indonesia 59 - 85 Sverige (62342)

I tried to make surprise and with bigger effort to come up as a winner but actually their coach decided to go with the same and they won. This generation has no other options than to attack inside and it is easy to to guess how we will play. With playing at their court, we could do nothing.

Next game is against Makedonija, they are much better and we can’t expect nothing than to lose that game so we will seek for our opportunity against other teams.

Indonesia 49 - 113 Makedonia (62355)

Our last game was against Makedonia. We lost pretty easily but this loss was planned from the very beginning. We saved our enthusiasm and will proceed to the games that we must win.

The next in the row is national team of Barbados. IMHO, we are way better team and with the home court advantage we can expect only to win the game.

The idea for upcoming matches is also to try how it will go with young guns, they will play much more minutes in next matches to gain experience and to be prepared for the next season.

Barbados U21 63 - 116 Indonesia U21 (62398)

Last Monday we played against Barbados and we won smoothly. Great news is that the second best scorer in our team (third including guest team) was a player who is 20 years old. He came from the bench and score 23 points with great percentage, 9 from 13 total, 4 from 5 for three points.

For the next game we are travelling to Hayastan where we should achieve one more victory.

Indonesia 84 - 55 Hayastan U21 (62446)

One more win for our young players. It was an expected one so I won't celebrate too much. We invested the same effort as the opponents and had an easy win at their court.

The next match will be in a week and we will play against the Republic of Dominicana. I expect nothing other than a win to finish this cycle with 4 wins and 4 losses.

Unfortunately, I have to quote my colleague from NT A team of Indonesia. I can't explain how we lost. This was the game to win with even TIE but I put Normal effort just not to worry about the result. Ok, some of you can say that this was our last game in competition but I wanted to save our enthusiasm so we will have a small advantage in scrimmages and to get a better ranking by winning those games.


After all, it was an interesting competition. We didn't have luck and we faced two games against Crunch Time (one was against Sweden at their court where we put the same effort). We lost both of them and also we lost 3 in which we were underdogs so total score is 3 wins and 5 losses.

I am not happy about that but we should be aware that our team this year is way worse than the one from the last championship. What I am happy about is that managers started to write and we have some communication. Also, spaciulis as NT coach is helping with a plan for 8+ potentials and we will try to make some players play in both, U21 and after that in A team of Indonesia.

Now we will have a calmer period, our U21 squad will play scrimmages and we will be able to give the opportunity to younger players.

As I said last season, if you want to sell a player that is currently in the U21 squad and is 21 years old, please do so now. You will probably get more money when the guys see your player in NT. One week should be enough for that, it is a period for 2 auctions to finish but if you need more time please contact me and I will leave your player in the squad for a few more days.

Let me sum up the past two seasons in Indonesia U21 National team.

What is common for both seasons is that we don't have two-way communication and I am really sorry about that. I am writing posts and, especially in the first season I was writing BB mails to a lot of guys but received only a few messages back. That, unfortunately, limits us on having better results because we can not prepare a generation for a competition which is really important.

Season 54:
We had a fine team, balanced and we could play different tactics but Indonesia in that and also in the previous season is just an average team, golden middle. Our score was 6 wins and 5 losses which is not bad if we know that we lost against teams that are in the best 20.
We lost against Taiwan (rank 20), Australia (rank 14), Honk Kong (rank 9), and twice against the Philippines (rank 6).
Our wins were against U.A.E, Singapore, Viet Nam, Nippon, Pakistan, and India, all ranked lower than us.
Could it be better? I don't think so, teams that beat us were much much better than us, and everything different than a big loss would be a real miracle.

Season 55:
Indonesia's U21 in this season was much worse than in the season before. We had some individuals but they are all power forwards or centers and we don't have a point guard. For some guys it is written that their position is PG but believe me, it is a lie. The highest passing skill was 9 in our team and it was a disaster. With all inside players, we had to play only inside tactics but there was no one to pass the ball. Also, we lacked other outside positions as well. The highest jump range was also really small and we couldn't afford to play Run and Gun or any other outside tactic. Therefore all our opponents read our play and we couldn't run away from it.
We started that season ranked 49 and finished on position 44. Our record in that season was 3 wins and 5 losses in official competition and 6 wins in scrimmages. I purposely chose weaker teams to play against in scrimmages so we will rank higher and possibly get easier opponents in season 56.
Unfortunately, our schedule was not that good. I wanted to make a surprise and win against Sverige at their court so I went with Crunch but Sverige did the same and we lost. What I could do better was the match against Rep. Dominicana but I expected an easy win and wanted to save enthusiasm for friendly matches and move our rank higher...

Now is season 56, I am a candidate for U21 coach again and would like to continue working with Indonesia U21 national team. in the next few days, I will scout all of the players to see what do we have... If you choose me again, I would like to have better communication and to try to create THE team that will be concurrent against all opponents and we must do that together!

I already created a list of all players drafted this season. We do have one of good prospects on TL and if anyone is looking for great inside trainee, you can check this hall of fame player (50571617).

Some statistics about the draft is that we got these potentials:
10 - 1 is 18 years old and 6 are 19 => 7 in total
9 - 7 are 18 years old and 2 are 19 => 9 in total
8 - 7 are 18 and 5 are 19 years old => 12 in total
7 - 8 are 18 and 21 is 19 years old => 29 in total
6 - 6 are 18 and 10 are 19 years old => 16 in total
