after so many seasons of duffman & xie being enemies i thought it would be cool 2 have them together 4 a season like when magic & bird got 2 be on the dream team :)

Alrighty, as promised Fishy I'll kick off the organization and do the ladders each week.

We currently have 17 teams. The max for one league is 16, the minimum is 4. At the moment, looks like we'll be splitting into two leagues again.

Are we going to go with the Federations model again?
Here's how the federations were organised last season, and I guess will carry over into this season:

Calamari:
Goldfish (ABBL)

1. So I'm thinking - lets do away with KingFish and go back to the old days where it was the epic struggle between Sharks and Calamari. Unless there are any objections?

2. Captains to be nominated for each federation - each federation can sort that out on their own and get back to me.

3. Unassigned players to be assigned to a federation. I dont think we want to waste a whole lot of time mucking about with a draft etc. I am a dictator - I will decide which federation each team will go. Each unassigned team can let me know their preference, I will try to be accomodating but at the same time fair.

4. Targeting start date to be next friday.

5. Will leave the signups open until Monday morning. By that point, we will start setting up the leagues. If you have signed up, make sure you have enough supporter. Don't be that one guy/girl that delays the start of an entire private league season!

but kingfish r long history the 3rd fed was the platypussies

have 2 ask latino who is a member but they r a bit like the kgb all hush hush & top secret i tried 2 join & they wouldnt let me in something about smelling like a wet pussy.....

The fishbowl has been stagnant or even declined in the last 3-4 seasons due to rapid expansion. We thought that expanding would lead to a more active and interesting private league but really it diversed all the active teams into different federations. So instead of 2 really fun and interesting feds, it led to 4 average at most federations. Of course the calamari would deny this and claim that their fed has 10k posts per day.

This is not only happening in the fishbowl but also in the world stage, the BBB, where the top ranked teams around world play in one private league similar to what the Fishbowl tried to emulate. Several season ago there would up to 6 PL's in the BBB but now there seems to be only 2 PL's running. The decline is due to mismanagement or disinterest/staleness.

I agree that we should have 2 fed's and 1 PL. If it meant we have a 16 team PL, then its something we should consider.
