Second Team:
Canada Purple Haze BC
FWIW- As I stated in the back and forth bbmail with you that
my players were better, which you laughed off, this besides HCA
all things were equal, exact season starting GS

The opening day DMI's:

Mine-Yours
1380000 C 739000
760 PG 719
647 PF 577
533 SG 483
282 SF 360 (282 replaced by 233)

My better players spent more time on the court against your lesser players.
It is my team that should be upset that A) the game was as close as it was since my C should have dominated
and that the ratings should be so out of whack
Ended as it should
HTG winners

Wow, looks like everyone is stacking up this season. Even considering the fact that Beanerz probably makes over half-a million a week, league average is barely 25k on positive. People, back off! this season is mine :D

You got enough foul calls this time, like I did last game 5/25, and aided by 2 half court shots (and super game from Welz) you won by 6.

I know the DMIs, I look at them every Friday. And I'm well aware you have a bigger beast at center. My 739k player actually plays at PF, so I'm ahead on DMI in that position. And I'd like to think my C is more well rounded, but I know I can't expect to stop many easy baskets from Aga inside.

I fully expect my team to outperform yours more than 50% of the time, especially when you play 3 of them almost the entire game. a) stamina b) confidence in my 6th thru 8th players off the bench

If you don't want to comment on what I said last BBmail then fine. This game is over. A good win, one I thought I should have won but aren't shocked I didn't. (not even close to going in a "How did I lose this game" thread or anything.

So stop acting like I don't give you any credit at all. I am actually proud of our group of div.II winners last year holding our own you know. It's OK to disagree, it will lead to many more intense games as rivals ;)

And everyone else can enjoy our bickering haha

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

My B3 schedule looks easier than Rips. I've got 2 tough road games, one against a final 4 team from last year that are certain losses and about 4 games that I absolutely should win. 5-3 looks probable.

Big 8

Lawrence Park Panthers 78 - 96 Philosopher Kings(59280321)

An absolutely dominant first half was enough for RiPs squad to defeat the Panthers of Lawrence Park. Mr. Burns squad certaintly put in a comeback effort in the second half, but it was not enough as the Philosopher Kings, led by ageless Essa Abu-Kaleel, pulled off the 18 point win. EAK showed why he is arguably Canadas most prominent player in BB history as he splashed 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 7 assists en route to the opening day victory. Herman Kearns led all scorers with 26.

Blenkinsop 95 - 82 Ottawa Lightning(59280322)

After a dominant first quarter, Blenkinsop was able to cruise to a 13 point victory, the closest margin in the Big 8. It was one of those nights that shooters try and forget as Ottawa Lightning shot 34-100 from the field and were left scratching their heads as it seemed the basket had a lid on it. In ability to enhance his guard skills, big man Pete O'Carroll played 46 minutes at the point guard position where he struggled, shooting 4-19 from the field. Blenkinsops Liang Lui Sa led all scorers with 24 points in the win.

Saskatoon Storm 92 - 126 The Hounds(59280323)

The Defending Naismith Champions got back to the grind and continued theur winning ways as they dismantled newly promoted Saskatoon Storm. It was a very methodical and clinical approach as Beeners squad, led by Zhang Kanghuis 35 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists cruised to the victory. Shortly after the game The Hounds bid adieu to Zhang hoping that Canadian NT Big Man Robert Laurent could fill his role. The Storm were led by 21 points from former U21 star Jeff Heighway.

Genso Suikoden II 17 - 114 Quebec Pugs(59280320)

In the laugher of the week, Genso Suikodens makeshift squad of scubs and players well past their prime were dismantled by the newly promoted Pugs from Quebec. The 14624 fans that packed Pug Place left with a smile on their faces as their hometown squad put on an absolute show. It was men against boys on the court and Mikko Rantanen led the game with 32 points, nearly double that of Genso Suikoden II. The Pugs could have asked for a better welcome to Naismith.

Great 8

蝴蝶Supreme 90 - 96 Headless Thompson Gunners(59280325)

In one of the tightest games of the night, Kumikos squad blew a 4 point half time lead leaving Kumiko asking plenty of questions. The post game press conference was filled with back and forth bickering between Kumiko and Headless T Gunner as Kumiko refused to believe her players were worse than Headless T Gunners, who was quick to defend his roster. The game was tight the whole way through but the twin towers, Dimitris Agaliotis and Roberto Merlonghi of Headless Thompson Gunners led the way with 27 and 26 points respectively. This rematch is one of the most highly anticipated rematches as the two up and coming Naismith powers look forward to the contest.

Syndicalists' BC 99 - 101 Luxury Tax(59280324)

In the thriller of the week, newly promoted Luxury Tax were able to squeak out a 2 point win at home. After two high scoring quarters, both won my Luxury Tax, the third quarter was a defensive struggle that Fresh24s squad was able to win, The 4th quarter was more up Luxury Tax's alley as it returned to its high scoring nature and Luxury Tax saw themselves pull out a win in their first ever Naismith game. Władysław Rozmus led all scorers with 34 points, to lead Luxury Tax to the win.

Beanz Odyssey 40 - 117 Pszczyna Team(59280326)

In another blowout game, damian13sters squad was able to destroy beanerz team. A former Canadian powerhouse, now reduced to nothing, but NT stud Philip Collin. The forumla was balance as Pszczyna Team had 7 players score in double digits led by Matthew Bradshaws 21 points and 18 rebounds. damian13ster hopes this is the beginning to a very successful tenure in Naismith.

Herman Griffins 74 - 86 The Aristocrats(59280327)

After a successfuly freshman season, The Aristocrats started off the season on the right foot, cruising to a 12 point win over Griffins squad. It was an off night for both teams offensively, but in the end The Aristocrats were able to out rebound, out assist and out shoot the Griffins. Roberto Fornasieri led all scoresr with 18 points en route to the win for The Aristocrats.

Thanks bballin.

Looks like the Aristocrats have stopped checking in. That's 4 Great 8 teams in 4 seasons that have quit shortly after reaching Naismith following the Syndicate, the UTE's and the Cerebral Assassins.

Even though I know Aristocrats in not setting his lineups, I still won't be able to field a team to beat him... urgh. I always tend to get off to horrible starts in Naismith.
