It's from back in the beginning seasons, was confusing and there's nothing the rating provided that would be useful to planning or game play.

If I remember correctly, the losing team usually had the better coach rating.

choosing a totally wrong tactic will help to improve the coaching rating because he will adjust more then when you are right, a funny thing this rating :)

you could get better rating in it, but i normally would defend base offense with man to man - but your winning team was stronger inside and your loosing team was outside based in the defensiv so the coach could adjust a little bit to a inside focus which makes the rating better then the one from the loosing team.
