Better luck in your next two games. Maybe you can get a win against Hong Kong in the last game.

Thank you!

Italy was absolutely out of our range. Argentina as well is far beyond us.

About Hong Kong, well, last season it looked like better. We are monitoring it to understand whether it's a question of tactics (just bringing few players in the roster, try them, then call the good ones) or a step back in this generation. We'll see by 10 days. Stay tuned.

OK. Understood. Italy and Argentina are both powerhouses and with the manager base and talent that is available to you there was pretty much no chance of winning. Hong Kong is quickly growing so they will still be a very tough game. Do what you think is best for the team. Bringing in the 20 year olds may be the best option.

the actual goal this season is to advance in consolation tournament to catch home field advantage in next African Cup.

at this moment the roster includes both 21 and 20 yrs players. I am glad that this season we need less 20 than last one (where 3 out of 5 starters were 20's) as the overall level improved. You typically need 20 when you have a small basis of players and older are not well trained (otherwise you cannot catch them).

HK is young and not so impressive at this moment, but things can change. As usual, I don't want to loose any single match, and my staff is working on that match already. Let's see. It would be great to finally bring a win to SA in WC!

Home field would be great especially with how close you were last season to automatically qualifying that extra home field advantage may push you over the top.

Well at least your 21 year olds are more experienced then ones that only play one season.

that's the hope. unfortunately we will meet a monstre-generation of Nigerians, while we will have a big generational problem (if you don't have draftees, it's hard to set a decent team...), purely numerical, so it will probably be a race for the second place. Not a problem, second would mean WC tournament (to loose 3 matches probably, but South Africa never achieved this target.

but it is very early, let's see if the work will pay back, and how consolation will be.

Yep. All you need is second place. Winning the championship doesnt matter as long as you qualify for the WC tournament. Would be a great step for South Africa as a nation.

Good luck in the consolation tournament.
