After three heavy defeats, SA snaps the row of losses against Senegal with a great 117-114 victory with same attitude against a candidate to medals.
It was a very long match, ended after one OT. Most of time the gap was 4 points or less. SA entered the last 2 minutes of both halves with few points of advantage. Several three pointers (12/27) kept Senegal alive despite trailing by 5 while Q4 was ending. A bold start in OT gave SA an initial advantage of 6 points, that Senegal tried to close with three pointers. Game was decided by precision at FTs, with Mokitimi closing his MVP game, with final two. +13 RBs turned the match toward us, with a great contribution by Mazibuko.
It's a great start and, despite evaluation that are influenced by OT, it's a precious W against a team expected to run till the end.
