I promoted out of this league and did not make the final finishing the season 3rd and still got promoted.
Whoever wins league promotes and then any bots teams removed they drop and take the teams with next best record from all Div IV leagues.

just been having a look in the forums and seen that some people seach transfer list for cheap buys n then sell them later for a profit!

This is a great idea. Why dont more people do this??

Is this actually going to work??

It can work but is risky. You would need to buy at the best time and be willing to hold on to them until a better time.
And the market moves around a bit. It goes down mostly but does rise in peak times.

Best time is usually 3 or 4 weeks into a season as teams start to settle on their roster. And then hold on to them to either just before transfer cut off for finals or to the off season when teams are looking to make changes.

It can work.

But it certainly wont work when you buy (14695905) a $6k 26yr old PF for $250,000!!!

I was looking at your recent purchases and thinking, why are you wasting all your money?
you don't need to avoid relegation as you finished 8th.
I know you've made a couple good buy/sell moves earlier in the season but this one of Javier is REALLY questionable.

1. When would be this best time?
2. I'm more than happy to keep them for a while as will allow me to win a few games!
3. How do I know if its a 'good' or 'bad' time?
4. So it's not Luke real life where most are done during offseason? I thought I might have been getting these guys at the perfect time to sell to someone for next year!
5. What's the best way to sell guys?? I have a mate that plays this game and he reckons the best way to get profits when selling people is to put the starting price just below the recommended price as this way you will get people into a bidding war and go over this amount! What do you guys think? I can see the logic behind it but am a little skeptical!

I guess I will find out when I put these guys back up! What do you think would be the best time to sell them? I think I might put them up Thursday, so I don't have to pay their salary!

Good idea???

Or is it better to wait until they get back to 100%???

no one will be looking to buy in the next week or so. They cant play playoffs and no one is going to spend much money for a week or 2. It all comes down to what people want at the time. The last week before the new season starts and then the 1st couple of weeks are a good period. Next is just before the playoff time so teams can pick them up to in time for playoffs.

Sometimes putting a higher min bid will mean people just over look. Some teams just list guys at a high price each week and hope someone sells them. Buying and selling players is not the best way to make money. Best way is put everything into your arena and keep you player salary as low as (close to salary floor) while training a couple of guys up. Then when they are ready to go you can grab 1 or 2 good player with money made and win the league and be ready for next level of leagues.

If you can sell that player for enough money that paying the players salary for the length of time it will take to get it back to 97% of the money being yours then do that, however i dont think you will get that with your players. so selling for any profit ASAP might be best.

I hope you make me eat my words, but i highly highly doubt that you will sell that 26yr old $6k PF for anywhere close to what you paid.

Ok thanks for the help guys. Depending on the outcome, this might be the last time I try this. But with the guy you guys are talking about his recommended price was 150 - 250. I thought if I buy him cheapish then sell him towards the top end of these prices would work well.

Maybe you guys could help this experiment and take these guys off my hands!
