Important to rebounding or important in general? I don't think it has any influence on rebounding, but unlike most managers, I do think it has an influence on defense, particularly inside defense.
Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

No, i mean just the shot blocking itself in general. is it that important to train shot blocking? I personally think that if someone was training shot blocking, i would rather spend the same amount of time training rebound.

train shotblocking up but try to keep it to 2-3 levels lower than your main skills since you dont want a single skill to slow down your player's training. beside a balanced player = a good player

in my opinion every skill is important in this game. some more, some less. personally i like shotblocking. this blocking-pitiful centers hurt my eyes.
you just have to make decisons for your salary. i try to build a 'balanced' team. i dont need a 20reb/game center and paying 200k for him if i have a decent teamrebounding. pg-sg-sf-pf-c 6-5-12-13-13 fits better for my team than 1-1-8-17-18 would. the 'saved' money for rebounding skill i use for decent lvls of shotblocking. similar with inside d.
and even insideshot seems to be worth only half without a decent lvl of js (and jr) which cost you nothing for your c.
decent passing will also help him to make better decisions. (dribbling+driving should also help but of course the center doesnt need to have a killer crossover)
to summarize: in my opinion ALL skills are nessecary. depending on position more or less. but thats just my opinion, for now it works pretty well.

I want to know the answer too ... one of my PF/SF always grab offensive rebounds but his ability is just respectable.
I have PF/C whose rebounding is prominent or above, still not have many offensive rebounds.
Any hidden attributes ?

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I have been sitting around biting my nails waiting for over two years for someone to reply to my post about there being no difference between offensive rebounds and defensive rebounds.
Cheers.
ps- I've only played about 20,000 hours of hoop in my life (seriously) so I'm pretty hip to how rebounding works.
