Well, this season has been a bust for me. Between traveling for work, another kid, and life in general I haven't dedicated the time to my team and the drop off shows from last season. Further, my team has gotten old and I am going to need to shake things up while I can still get some money out of them. Expect next season to be a little better. For those teams still in it for the playoffs, good luck.

I'm already looking forward to next season...

I am surprised that my Fiercekitties may make the playoffs - even with me being very busy this season and twice forgetting to set a line-up, most recently on Jan 16!

Market is ridiculous with the prices.

GTA wasn't worth 3.8 but at his age I think he was too good to pass up.

Hopefully his performance will be worth 3.8M. Otherwise I'd be screwed,

GTA Vinson about to show the league how it's done.

You popped up on my newsfeed as purchasing a player for 3.8 million and I thought you'd finally found your elusive SF trainee to match Vinson. Doesn't look like you'll be able to train this young foreigner will you? I imagine he's gotta be capped with only 7 potential.

I bet placing that bid stung a little. Hopefully you have a high level trainer to maximize the training. In a couple years you will be able to see if this was a good or bad purchase. I know I have some bad buys, but there are also some good ones. Demis Kapis was a steal when I got him.

Hope it works out.

Any predictions on the outcome of the playoffs?

SM Lizards will beat the remainder of my current 5 man team. However, without home court I think SouthPoint makes the trip to the finals. It looks like Southpoint may have a short stay here promoting back to DII. I'd say he's the favorite right now.

Good luck to all the contenders.

you know, i've thought that this season, i had to be in one of the toughest leagues in the division, but i wasn't sure how to go about quantifying it. i think i've come up with a decent metric. now, yes i know that money doesn't say everything, and that salary doesn't tell the story of estimated current incomes due to decay or improvement, but i think it's a pretty solid ballpark metric. usually salary has an extremely strong correlation with winning. it's the best predictor i've been able to find over my years playing this game. however, when comparing leagues to leagues, having a total salary is extremely misleading due to teams tanking, and some just being top heavy. i decided that i would take the top 5 teams from each conference in terms of wins, accounting for 10 teams per league, and find out the total salaries between the different leagues. i considered just doing playoff teams, but that doesn't quite tell the story of the difficulty to entry into the playoffs, and also avoiding a relegation series, which i think both factor into how "tough" a league really is. all that said, here are the results, listed highest total salary to lowest total salary. dividing them by 10 gives you the average salary of the top 10 teams (in terms of standings, not wins) in the leauge. without further ado, here is how the leagues stack up against one another:

1 - III.15 - $2,746,345
2 - III.7 - $2,705,501 <---my league
3 - III.16 - $2,662,063
4 - III.13 - $2,499,216
5 - III.11 - $2,497,514
6 - III.8 - $2,466,445
7 - III.12 - $2,289,008
8 - III.3 - $2,271,410
9 - III.5 - $2,234,385
10 - III.4 - $2,192,685
11 - III.14 - $2,165,297
12 - III.1 - $2,083,316
13 - III.10 - $2,076,643
14 - III.2 - $2,060,135
15 - III.6 - 2,043,725
16 - III.9 - $1,996,066

thought it might be interesting for all the other leagues to see

Any predictions on the outcome of the playoffs?

Know my kitties are out in the first match v. the eventual league champ Southpoint, who promotes up to D.3.

Still a little surprised my guys even made the playoffs.

The money will be significant though. The promotion $ plus the DIIEconomy will help if you are able to keep from relegating again. Its really expensive right now to buy a young starter.I'm sitting on cash waiting for a decent price. Its frustrating.

Good luck in the playoffs HCA will be a nice perk, and I assume you have a trainer to compliment your schedule.
