Hi everyone,

I'm new to the game. Wondering what the best strategies are for a new player to ensure long-term success in this game? It looks like training is a big part of this game. So my thought is to have 2 trainees to start and train their defense. After a season or two pick up a third trainee around the same skill level as them and start training their scoring skills. Any help would be appreciated.

You're on the right track. Training, building your arena and increasing/maximizing your cash flow are solid early strategies. Learn the diffierent tactics and how the game engine works too.

But the absolute most important thing: Read the manual and then when you're done, read it over again!

I'm just curious, but what university will you be attending? I'm currently beginning my search for a future career and university and right now i just love to explore and prepare for university. hopefully you could share your university experiences later on in the year so that i could have a basic idea of what its like at a post secondary institution?

I will be attending NAIT college this September in Edmonton to start a 2 year Hospitality Management Diploma followed by going to the University of Calgary to complete a Bachelors in Hotel and Resort Management.

I actually went to Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton last year, attempting to do a Bachelor of Science Degree. Unfortunately, I was not interested enough in the field of Science (although my best subjects in high school) to further persue the next 3 years and therefore decided to take a completely different career path.

My experiences were terrible at university, especially because of my lack of interest in the field that I was in. Science is probably the easiest fields to get into (degree wise) and the 2nd toughest to stay in (aside from Engineering). Unlike most other fields, there are two components to most courses in the field of Science, one being a lecture portion and one being a lab portion. Unfortunately, you have to be able to keep up with both portions of a single course (I took 4 courses each term, 3 of which had lab portions so think of the workload).

Basically when you're in the field of Science, you have NO social life and no leisure time!!! That's the field I suggest that you don't pursue a career in. Besides, the program is VERY competitive and the people who barely pass will have wasted 4 years because they will have no jobs oppurtunites!!!

I would take this with a grain of salt. Lots of people like "science" and do just fine in it.

To do "just fine" will not get you anywhere in the Sciences UNLESS you specialize in something!!! :)

well i am about to start grade 10, and am quite interested in the field of medicine. Also perhaps your high school grades were good, yet not good enough? I don't think undergraduate studies should be tremendously difficult, and may just require some time to transition into a faster pace and workload.
