My advice to you is "master the basics."

You've obviously put a lot of thought into how you want to build your team, and that's great. But USA.V is full of bots and newbie teams. You don't need sweat minutiae like shot-blocking just yet.

Learn which skills are most important to each position. Put together a starting lineup based on that. Decide what tactic you want to use, and match your roster to your tactic or vice versa. Learn about training, hire a decent trainer, and determine which of your players can benefit from training. Study the transfer market, so you won't overpay for incoming players and you'll get fair value for anyone you decide to sell. Invest money in scouting, so you'll have a good pool of talent to add to your team next season. Learn about arenas and ticket prices, and expand your arena to maximize income down the road. And read the forums; there is much wisdom therein.

And don't assume your opponents know what they're doing. You may very well encounter big men with poor inside defense and/or rebounding. Just do your homework, roll out the best team you can, always look for ways to improve, and you'll do fine in USA.V.

I think the general opinion is the % of a players salary derived from SB doesn't match the benefit from SB. However SB is still classed as a big man skill and big man skills train better when they are closer together. So when you are training big men it's worth giving SB training now and then as IS, ID and rebounding will train a little faster.
