Well, it's been my 10th season in on Buzzer Beater and I think I'm ready to take the next step. After reaching the quarter finals 2 seasons ago, I am now gearing my team towards a cup victory (Also, I got to represent League II, as the last time a league II player reached the finals was season 20 (Almost 5 years ago) and there has not been a League II player ever in Canada to win the cup in the past 39 seasons). Also, I got to give props to League III, as I have been there for more than half of my time here and it helped shape my team and my approach to the team I have now. So, in a way, I'm going to try to win it for League II and III and perhaps the underdogs (Us in league II and III) will be able to snatch the cup from the Naismith greats.

I admire the enthusiasm, but you have 0 chance at winning the cup.

Deep runs, to the quarters, MAYBE a semi, but that's the end of the line.

As someone who's made quarters with a div 4 team, luck only lasts so long.

Hmm, I have to disagree. The talent level may favor to Naismith teams, but there are various factors that gives me a shot.

In league II, I have a massive enthusiasm advantage. As well, it's going to be tricky for minute management for key starters-players, unless they're willing to tank a league game (Where boycott is 30% I believe now and the bottom Naismith have competitive rosters), so it's definitely possible I get underestimated and VS a TIE with their bench squad with maybe 1 starter.

Still, it's possible for upsets to occur. In this round, #1 Panthers VS #5 Kings and #2 Storm VS #15 Syndicalist. If both get upset and eliminated early, my odds of winning gets bumped up a percent or two. Injuries and GS management also plays a key here and in future rounds.

Luck is definitely the main factor here for me and other teams, but if all goes right, I could reach the Semifinals with a relatively high enthusiasm.

Tanking a league game to get further in the cup is quite common, and you'll probably see it when you come across a D1 team. And D1 teams TIE most of their games as well. It's really difficult for a D2 team to win because the salary differences are massive. You may beat 1, maybe even 2 D1 teams if you face them early, but teams later in the tournament will be prepared. And I'm going to be putting up most of my starters in the game tonight, but could tell you it'll take a miracle and then some for me to beat Sask Storm.

I suppose it could be common, but there should be others that prioritize league over the cup. Really? A miracle to beat storm? He has 6 100+ K players, 1 of them is injured and the rest of his players are 10k or under. If one of his starters get injured or fouls out, it should be your victory. As well, it seems like he prioritized league this week, as he played all his starters. I doubt he would play all his starters vs you unless he wants to risk bad GS next week, so I would say you are the favorite to win it this round.

1) The majority of Naismith teams will tank a league game to ensure moving on in the cup.
2) A max enthusiasm vs. a Naismith team that has normalled 2-3 times and TIEd the rest won't make a difference.
3) Later rounds you will not have TIE vs CRU option, only playoff normal vs playoff crunch.
4) As I said before, 1/4 final or semi is possible, but no cup win. It's just not going to happen.

Alright. With Storm and Kings out, I think the frontrunner to win it all now is Panthers. I personally thought Kings would win it when Panther's PG fouled out early in the second quarter and the game was tied. I definitely don't think I can deliver a loss to Panthers, but there are still many Naismith teams and they should at least have a shot to beat the best team in Canada.

The way things are now, I stand a better chance VS Naismith teams that are not the top teams of Canada, say below rank 5 in Canada. I'm not saying I'll win, but I do have a shot and better odds than VS the top teams of Canada.

Yeah, this round showed me a few things, so for now, I'll just change my thinking to reach the finals for now. It is quite a stretch, but if I get lucky and avoid any top 5 Canadian Teams, then finals could be possible.
