GG dude, surprised we couldn't pull it out with a 200 salary player in for 15 minutes. The injury sucks but that's sadly part of the issue with running a 6 man roster. We'll see if I can make something out of game 2 now...

Fouls and injuries: that's the danger of having a lack of depth. Hopefully those two scrubs (0.5 rating? Oof) don't see the light of day in this series again.

(0.5 rating? Oof)

Hey man, that is Gary March. He's a Flash Masher legend. He was on my original roster, and has scored more points for my team than any other player.

He may have set some records last night?

-Oldest player to get minutes in the NBBA finals?
-Oldest player to score points in the NBBA finals?
-First player to score a 0.5 rating in the NBBA finals?

Legend.

9 fouls on the first quarter.

I wish there was a setting to tell your team to play more passive? Or maybe to just have some common sense?

Oh trust me, I felt the same way when you had a 200 salary player out there for 15 minutes in game 1 yet Maynard and Askew just continued smacking into Mrosla and Bales. Common sense is missing from all the BB players unfortunately

I feel like my chances are very slim. No way this crew gets through 48 mins without at least one foul out.

I just checked your GS. Graham is in 7 GS? oof. That's not good. Did you not train GS? I train that during playoffs exclusively (FYI: you do receive secondary pops training ST/FT/GS and it is worth it during the postseason).

Hopefully your injured player recovers and gives you some much needed depth come Sunday; but if not . . . you are in for a wild ride my friend.

Apex might actually pull off "a duble" (trade marked). lol That would be impressive, but of course, it's always unfortunate when one team has such bad luck. . . but that's the risk of running a tight rotation with not much depth. Usually six or seven rotation teams will not have any foul prone players. I myself stray away from such players, especially if I lack depth. That might be something you may want to look to address for next season. You may need to shake up your roster and replace any foul prone players (not named Graham or Mrolsa) in favor of adding depth to your roster.

Anyways . . . Good luck to both managers!

I did train GS, but with Aksak out so early in that game multiple players ended up with 90+ minutes and didn’t get the GS increase I was hoping for.

This is starting to look frighteningly like my silver cup run where I lost the gold to a D2 team due to fouls. Guess I didn’t learn my lesson.

Well, that's unfortunate. You just need depth, and nothing special either . . . just 2 or 3 players with 15K-20k+ salaries w/ 16+ defense that can hold leads while your starters sit on the bench. I was baffled when I found out your only players outside your best 6 are basically tank commanders. You've been walking on thin ice all season long.

That's why my strategy for this series has been to pound the paint each game. At this point even with guesses it's just too strong fouling his guys out and other offenses don't accomplish that as well. But I will say dealing with a 6 man roster like his is no joke. I know BB wanted to start making changes to the low roster size teams which dominate at the highest level of play but they were never really made. I built my 8 man roster around that premise and it hasn't paid out yet. Lackey is really the only one who has the edge against his guys full strength and my backups coming in game 1 were a solid -10, -12, -5 for the 10 minutes they were in.

We'll see if that strategy actually pays off tonight. I have a feeling that with the game shape difference it will play out a few more points to my favor in comparison to game 1 but if not then I'll say that I tried and will need to retool a strategy for next season.

Either way this goes, it's been one hell of a finals series Chek and I hope to meet you back here next season! I'm sure a lot of the other managers will have their own opinions on that however. NBBA is strong as ever!
