A few seasons ago, there were a number of selections I thought were odd. I compared the stats and found Points Per Game and Rating were the common stats for selecting the All-Stars. Point Guard seemed to weigh Assists heavier than any other stat. Power Forward and Center used Rebounding as the dominate stat, but even those positions had high PPG and Ratings.

This season's selection follows that theory, pretty well. If a player is a beast at Defense, Steals, Blocked Shots, etc., but doesn't put up a lot of points or has an average game performance Rating below 10, they're sitting this game out.

For some reason my point guard got into the game as my only player in... he's probably my worst starter, and his rating isn't very high either. He does score a lot, but also turns the ball over a ton. I know there were better point guards who were more deserving.
