Yes, welcome new teams to IV.58 - a tough D.4 league where folks seems to have a hard time promoting out to D.3., beating up on each other during the regular season. Season 30 should be more of the same.
The Great 8 has been the stronger conference for the past few seasons. Leading playoff contenders include my Kitties, Hoopers, Boilermakers, and the recent D.3 team, Strong. Mares should also come on strong and may make the playoffs at the expense of someone.
In the Big 8, last season's conference title winner Catzz should again qualify for the playoffs with easy, while Blazers and Java will join them. Big question will be who will be the 4th playoff team.
For the other IV.58 teams, the goal should be to make to, and then win, the relegation playoff matches. That's how many of us initially got to stay in the league, after the first season promoting up from D.5. After that, it is just a simple matter of clawing your way up the standings, season after season. And for many of us in this league, it has been many, many seasons of clawing . . . and my Kitties are not one of the super old guard here, only the somewhat old guard.
Good luck to all - I know my Kitties will have a better start to the season this time around - was able to log in and set my 1st game lineups - unlike last season when I started with a nice forfeit in game one. Ouch!
