You should know better than to draw conclusions from a SINGLE observation. You need a good sample size. Furthermore 11/30 is 37% which is in no way awful. Better can be expected, but for a normal distribution there are outliers on both sides of the mean. This is probably a low outlier.

37% actually puts you well into the top third of all NBA players with at least 50 3PT shots attempts.

Only one team (Golden State) shot above 38% from three this regular season.

Yeah but that's for a season, not an individual game.

So what? Poster was complaining that the 3p% was a low number when it really is the avg of any good 3 pt shooting team in the nba not named the warriors who are the greatest regualr season team of all time.

Poster was also saying that for that particular happenstance the other team had people that would not be expected to guard the 3s well at all. Not an "average defensive 3pt team vs any good 3 pt shooting team". The impression I got from that is the team said poster was referencing said game, was more of an "outlier", so... going to your thing about the NBA. Say the bulls shoot 37% 3pts, the cavs shoot 39% spts, the Raptors 37% 3pts the Trailblazers 39% and the warriors 42% 3pt.
They weren't shooting that % every single game. They would play against one team and maybe shoot 22% from 3pt.

But, then they'd have a game vs the crappy 3 pt defense team, the outlier team, and shoot maybe 63%.
Poster is talking about how the team in said example was this 63% against team, but the team playing them only shot 37%

When you have one game as a sample size you cant really make solid conclusions. Good 3 pt shootimg teams underperform in RL sometimes toi

Why don't you show us the correct sample size then? It's not that hard, go to www.buzzer-manager.com -> My League -> Statistics per team and post your season 3fg%. It seems to me that you are as much just making posts for unfounded whining as others are just looking to respond negatively (just to be clear I don't think either is true).

My team shoots just 27.4% on the season but I have an inside team. Other teams vary from 18.5% through 34.4%, so that's quite low. However, with teams being build around OD and IS (and defense rating in general being higher than offense rating), that could be just the expected outcome. I don't expect high % when you get 7 outside scoring rating vs 12 perimeter defense rating.

If you want a more complete analysis, also make an overview of the average of Perimeter Defense and Outside scoring ratings of the teams in your league (look up a team and select "Ratings" in the dropdown menu).

THEN you can make a valid point.

The same can be done if you would go to his teams page, press team stats and you will see his 3fg% :) It is 40,4 by the way :)

Yeah that's even easier. And 40,4% seems like a totally unbroken mark for outside shooting.
