So Larry Henderson only cost a cool $1.4m. He must be good!

In the interest of player development...

Here's my 20-year old MVP-potential project. I picked him up several weeks into last season, and eked 12 pops out of him. He arrived on my roster with pitiful outside defense. Any suggestions / ideas?

Jump Shot: prominent Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: average Handling: tremendous
Driving: wondrous Passing: strong
Inside Shot: strong Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: average ↑ Free Throw: average

so this is Beckham Phelan and he's 6'7" right?

He looks great to me, similar to the guy I just paid $1.5M for. I don't think you can make U21 since he's not "specialized" to any position, but maybe you could be in the running if you pumped more OD and there's a need at SF. I think you'd need at least 12 OD and then probably some JS or IS pops for that.

If you're focusing on club purposes then my current opinion is that you should target a build based on what you think the devs are going to do in the near future. Lately there have been a lot of fairly impactful changes to the game engine, like in this season's news there are changes to stamina and neutral tactics. IMO that increases the value of well-rounded, lower-salary players like you've got a start on there. So I'd keep training him up "evenly" inside and outside and build a solid SF. Might not be the star of the team at an NBBA level but would never be the weakest link in a 5 man group.

Anyone notice in the lineup page, it says Follow Depth Chart instead of "strictly"? Just noticed this, might be late

What does outside box and one get you against the most talented scorer (Dean Meert) in the league: a loss and the following stat line:

Stormz MIN FG 3. FG FT +/- OR TR AST TO STL BLK PF PTS RTNG
SF D. Meert 43 32 - 62 11 - 22 5 - 6 +4 4 13 1 0 1 0 5 80 18.5

I think you are supposed to play an inside box and one against a talented outside scorer. There are forums about the box and one defenses on how it's the reverse. It's weird

It makes sense but the names throw people off. Outside Box and One is a zone box with 4 guys and the 5th out of the box doubling inside. Inside Box and One is a zone box with 4 guys and the 5th out of the box doubling outside.
