Die Siegesserie von Hertha BC geht weiter. Dazu eine Reihe von Blowouts. Die bemerkenswerteste stat line des Abends ist sicher die von Traianos "The Greek Freak" Koumparoulis (DME Fotografie Ballers), der auf 21 Punkte kam und dazu 23 Rebounds holte, 7 Assists verteilte und 5 Wuerfe blockte. Damit hat er seinem nickname alle Ehre gemacht. Es ist zudem bereits das zweite Mal in dieser Saison, dass er auf der 1 mehr als 20 Rebounds sammelte. Allerdings hat er mit seinen 2,13m dazu auch beste Voraussetzungen.

Barsakov beendet die kleine Siegesserie der Hertha mit einem Kantersieg, auch weil sich bei BC, nach der fruehen Verletzung des SG, noch Albano ausfoulte und dadurch ein zwar euphorischer, aber doch uebermuedeter Fan mitwirken durfte.
Im Spitzenspiel der Blauen Gruppe gelang den Gladiators gegen Madchester nach ihrem durchwachsenen Start ein Achtungserfolg.
Johannas Helden konnten nach dem TSV Empor Goehren als zweites Team die Bestmarke der white snakes bei den Blocked Shots egalisieren.

Walter Labrador aus Goehren erziehlt mit 57 Punkten auf seine alten Tage einen Karrierebestwert. Das reicht jedoch im Rennen um den MVP des Spieltags nur zu Platz 3, denn Michael Logan von Madchester City schrammt mit 30 Punkten, 11 Rebounds und 9 Assists nur knapp an einem Triple Double vorbei. Aber auch er hat keine Chance gegen einen ueberragenden Sonnemans (white snake), dem lediglich ein Block zum Triple Double fehlt. Neben 35 Punkten, bei fast perfekter Quote, sammelte er auch noch 10 Rebounds und verteilte 6 Assists gegen einen voellig ueberforderten Gegner, der insgesamt 26 mal abgeraeumt wurde.

Mann des Abends ist dieses Mal Sonnemans, dem eines der seltenen Triple Doubles gelingt. Dabei stellt er mit 13 Blocks beim Spiel in Oberkirch auch gleich noch einen neuen Ligarekord auf. Auch die Wurfquote war wieder einmal ueberragend, so dass die Konkurrenz bei der Frage nach dem MVP freiwillig das Feld raeumte.

Die Haelfte der zweiten Phase der regular season ist rum und man kann wohl bereits ein vorsichtiges Fazit wagen. Die Rote Gruppe ist nicht ganz so stark wie die Blaue, um es mal vorsichtig auszudruecken. Von bisher 32 Duellen konnten die Roten ganze drei gewinnen und diese drei Siege gingen alle auf das Konto des TSV. Platz 1 scheint daher dort bereits fest vergeben. Auch bei den Blauen duerften die immer noch ungeschlagenen white snakes unangefochten vorne bleiben, koennen sich aber weniger Ausrutscher erlauben.

4 von 40 - das Debakel setzt sich fort. Hoehepunkt dieser desastroesen Darbietungen war sicherlich die 109-Punkte (Differenz wohlgemerkt!) Heimniederlage der Oliven. Immerhin verschaffte man dem Gegner aus Mannheim reichlich Gelegenheiten, zu glaenzen. So sammelte Herrgott die meisten Punkte, waehrend Lazarou ein solides Triple Double hinlegte. Khudoshin schliesslich traf Curry-like 10 Dreier bei nur 13 Versuchen. Die 30 Rebounds von Ober-Westendorf gingen da schon fast unter.
