I think it will be, I can say for my team I am going to be better in the first half anyway as I brought in some new guys to help during the cup, but my main focus is still a solid season of out of position training for my young guys.

Some of the new teams should give it a crack though and good luck to those who will go for the title.

I have no idea what you're talking about, don't try and rope me into your shady schemes and plots....

I drafted squat, as I don't spend money on that stuff.. I did buy a very good trainee tho, and am looking to add another.

There's no draw into anything, just suggesting that the game is a little more fun with communication /banter (or bitter rivalries)

I saw your pick up, looks good. So you are hanging to train for a bit?

Hahah I know what you were suggesting, and I was playing along... by refusing to play along.. creating banter... mostly just being a dick.. :P

Yeah look, I do want to train a couple young guns as far as I can, I will "stick around" if that's what a cheap as chips roster will dictate, however if I can compete on a budget, then I will.

If I make purchases, they will likely be mid 20's players with a good spread of skills, that would allow them to compete or dominate in D3 and turn into excellent value bench players in D2. But I'm not really planning much right now.

What about you mate?

My season should go ok, hang mid-range see how far in the cup I can go and train my 3 aussie trainees as much as possible.

Main goal training, my 3 are all high potential and well skilled guys, hoping to have all three represent U21's and national if I can retain them while I get back up the Div's

Hey everyone,

First full season for me probably not going for too much this season just sort of find my way.

Did get an interesting guy in the draft
Jump Shot: atrocious Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: mediocre Handling: respectable
Driving: inept Passing: strong
Inside Shot: strong Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: strong Shot Blocking: atrocious
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: average

Was wondering if you guys have an suggestions on traing he is only 6"5 so im thinking training as a guard is best. Probs train his shooting first.

Hey mate,

belated welcome to the game.

Looking at your trainee, I would work between single position (PG- Pressure) and duel position (1 on 1 Forwards SF/PF) for this guy. His Atrocious JS is a deep concern along with low Driving making him a low scoring threat. If you train up his OD he should also pop in his ID at some point as well.

I think you could end up with an ok balanced guy, I would get him able to stay on the court defensively (I'm a defensive nut job though) and then go hard on getting his JS out of the gutter. You can afford to do this in the league and take your time, should take about a season and a half and I think you will see some decent rewards, he will be a good learning trainee for you and if you come across a better prospect along the way, this guy can slip back to your secondary option.

Thanks

Does it make a difference if i do defense or offense training first in the long run as im not really worried about this season too much, or the next one really.

I would personally do defence first, helps him stay on the court for the full 48mins and it is a harder skill to train with age I understand as is ID for shorter guys, so a mix of both can be advantageous this season especially if you don't care about results

Well guys, we are about to head into the cross overs, what are the thoughts on the league this season so far?

We still have a good number in the cup (although on my side of the draw the top two teams are out) and should still be ok after this week's games.

Injuries have hit some hard (do you have a decent doctor?) and have exposed some depth issues.

Thoughts?

Wow guys!

We have gone from 10 to 4 teams left in the Cup, I thought we would loose a couple, but jeez.

I guess that means tougher games in the regular season for both sides of the draw.

I think the cross over games will be interesting as I think the stronger teams are on the red side overall, so it remains to be seen if the majority of wins reflect that when all is said and done.
