I think that's a pretty fair assessment. I do expect my teams to always out perform their salaries, in addition to having the strongest bench in the league by a fair margin (probably too much, to be honest). But I started the season thinking I was somewhere 3-5 in the Big 8, so I'm not disappointed by being considered 5th overall. I will point out that I'm 3-0 against the other teams listed. Decent odds I'll be 3-3 by the end of the season though.

I don't really concern myself too much with my league record against teams from the other conference. For example, I don't know how often either of us really cared or tried to win our game. I'm sure there were instances when both of us may have essentially treated it as the scrimmage game for that week due to the other match-ups if we were still in the cup. And other than this season, we both have generally done fairly well in the cup. Based on that, I'm not certain how a game where both of us were trying would really go, although I'd pick you as the favorite to win a three game series.

I really should have bought a couple of bigs the year Valhalla! won the league. But I'm pretty sure I would have been an instant demotee and that really isn't my approach. I'm fine with slow and steady improvements. Although that was by far the weakest season the league has had since I arrived. Also can't say I'm too surprised he was gone from the game in less than two seasons after that.

And I understand completely about not wanting to part with Joe. Ted Eller was one of my original players and he will be on my team until his skills have degraded to all atrocious. In fact, I never trained him to his full potential because I wouldn't have been able to keep him if I had. Many may not agree with that approach, but I get more enjoyment out of the fact that he has played over 250 league games for me than I would from having trained him up and then selling him for a large sum. My next goal for him is trying to find a game where I can get him the team record for assists. Although the last time I tried that, he ended up setting the team record for points instead.

I just figured out why the Brewers are so good. He has six regular starters! I suggest we count his players before the opening tip.:)

Now that I look so does GS!

Well dont know what i did to piss of the Romantics but i just got crunch timed for the second in our last 3 games. Guess that 6th starter didnt come in handy.

Looks like he may be trying to get to 7th and possibly avoid relegating down to IV. He still has to beat either Jack Rabbits or Lake Charles Creoles while pulling for Amsterdam to lose against South Stags and LA Lager.
I don't know if he can pull off either of those wins, but given that I also expect Amsterdam to lose both games, if he does get one more upset he'll most likely be playing GTZ to stay in III.10. And at this point, I think most people probably favor both of the Great 8 teams to win the relegation series. But those actually could be some interesting series.
The Big 8 is already set for the playoffs, but the only real interesting game is likely Crusadersx vs. me. And I don't know that either one of us will pose a challenge to GS_Warriors in the semi-finals.
A lot of shuffling can still happen in the Great 8. And the opening round games there look more interesting regardless of how the shuffle ends up.
