Why are you unable to purchase new players?

It is just a restriction I put on myself :) makes things more interesting for me
I like the idea of long term planning and seeing players grow. It would really help if I wouldn't forget to scout players though...

With 7 new teams in the league, there is no telling what to expect. It looks like Blue side will be pretty competitive. I don't see any really bad teams in the bunch. But nothing like BNH rolling to the title like last year. Should be really frustrating.

I'd put a bid on your big guy, but that stamina is yuck and poo. Always makes me sad when I see really good players with low stamina. And that's a weird history. He doubled his salary from season 51-52. Must have had a really good agent.

Best of luck to everyone except when you are playing me. Then I hope you get Scott Foster and Tony Brothers as refs

Pretty good opening round. Several close games. Only a couple blowouts. Seems much more competitive than last season.

We won a game we had no business winning. HCS had a player injured and another fouled out. Took a miracle 3 from my PG at the end. One of those no-no-no-no-no-no-YES shots.HCS has the better team, so we'll take a lucky win.

I'm so sorry that the U-21 managers can't seem to decide if they want their players or not. Hopefully they figure it out and stop spamming our news thread (I assume their constant adding/dropping shows up for yall too)

It's kind of annoying, but I understand where they are coming from.

There are a ton of players out there and they don't get a lot of help from people like us. They are trying to form squads of 15-20 players and you have to keep track of them. And all it takes is one doofus like me to screw everything up.

I've had my run-ins with U21 NT managers, but I respect what they are trying to do. It's kind of annoying, but necessary.

Now that we are past the All Star break, it's time to break out the crystal ball to see what to expect for the rest of the season.

Super Stars rose from the dead last season to avoid relegation. They now sit very comfortably in 1st place and look like favorites to win the blue division.

BM have a solid team, but it's hard to know how they will do without Major. I'm sure that dumping that contract was a relief, but can they replace the performance at center?

HCS can outscore anyone, but they have also given up the most points in the league! I guess they are trying to prove the best defense is a good offense.

Those are the only 3 teams with winning records on our side. The Big 8 officially sucks.



The Lightning look to be the class of the league. After a tough start, they have reeled off 10 wins in a row and had a deep cup run. They could cement the top spot in the next 5 games, but it's a tricky stretch.

Apaches start out very strong, but a shocking loss to us put them in 2nd place. If they can avoid any other slip ups, the Labor day weekend game against Lightning could decide the division.

Brooklyn Kings sit a notch below. A couple of close losses early in the season stand out. A 1 point road loss and 4 point home loss is what puts them 3rd. They have allowed the fewest points in the league, so they can't be overlooked.

ANC, WCH and FWY are all fighting it out for the 4th playoff spot. They all have a pucher's chance to make noise in the playoffs, but they will have to get there first.

My guess is that The Lightning will win the league, but it's no guarantee.

With Stuart Major gone, the MVP race is wide open. Joachim Lämmerhirt (HCS), Roland McNamara (ANC), Will Butler (HCS) are the top rated players. Carl-Friedhelm Krichbaum (BRK), Massamba Diokh (HCS), Manuel Moralejo (BRK) lead the efficiency ratings.

We lead the league in Blocks and FT%, which will get you a losing record.

The league doesn’t even really start till right now. Some of us were punting league games for cup wins. So a couple games here or there doesnt mean much.
