In fairness, he's gone bankrupt and started from scratch financially. That is the mechanism that limits teams using that strategy.

Even though he's loaded up with high salary players again, at the price he paid for them, they'd be mono skilled players that will be super inefficient for their salaries. He also only has 7 players which makes managing gameshape impossible.

If he is a threat to you, you're not ready to promote anyway.

The word fairness is pretty funny to hear) .... They are definitely not mono skilled players .. this strategy is working as this is the third time that he is doing the same thing and you can see where he is still in the table. This is working because the game has less players right now and he can buy high salary players at extremely cheap. I am sure BB team will work on this and won't let this continue to happen.

I'm not condoning his strategy. I'm merely pointing out there is definitely limitations that stop that being a viable strategy.

He has to time his next bankruptcy to happen right before the free agency deadline. Even then, he'll have a few hundred thousand dollars to find those players in the one week of the season where they hold value for teams with a sustainable plan and much deeper pockets.

He wouldn't be the first team in this league to have ridiculous salaries and lose the first playoff game (hello Petronas). An ABBL ready team would be able to beat his current 7 players with trash gameshape, which is very likely far better than the actual team he'll have by the championship games.

You just beat him comfortably yourself while he had home court advantage. He hasn't found some magical loophole that makes him unbeatable. He's got a highly salary inefficient list that you proved last night is not as strong as he would seem on paper.
