With just a few games remaining it is a tight race in the Great 8 that's for sure. There seems to be a sense that the Great 8 is head and shoulder ahead/better than the Big 8 but the jury is still out on that. The general vibe is that the top 3 teams in the Big 8 would be just fine if playing in the Great 8. But Heading into the last few games and that final playoff push... What teams are trending upward??? and what teams are trending down??? Who's the scariest team to win the entire league and promote? Who's the most overRated team?!?!?! and lastly who is no one talking about anymore that we should be??? The III.7 Daily news has its views and answers to these questions but we'd like to hear your thoughts before posting...

oh man, this race is really tight, idk what is going to happen going down the stretch. some outstanding team is going to be in a relegation series in the great 8, and the grand ma mas seem to be the inevitable recipients of playing a relegation series against one of the 6 really good teams over here. that said, just for the great 8:

trending upward: west side - winners of 8 of their last 9, team is getting into good game shape and they're coming off an impressive road win against top ranked frosty

trending downward: frosty - back to back losses against lambda and west side respectively, they still have philly, nyc and flamengo on their schedule. anything but a cake-walk. i really needed to beat west side...

scariest team: has to be flamengo. i know lambda can probably lay appropriate claim here, but flamengo's individual salaries and ratings are downright intimidating.

overrated team: frosty - the dream ride seems to be coming to an abrupt end. i never expected to do as well as i have this season anyway. whatever the result, i'm pretty satisfied. i'll be damned if i go down without a fight though, i'm coming for the cup!

underrated team: nyc - scary goddam roster and has the ratings to bang with any of the big boys. it's not a guarantee they make the playoffs, but if they get there, they can make some noise.

I love the honest assessment over there frosty. I have to say you were rolling, i dont know what happen but i see you've dropped a few games in a row now. amazing part after today in the Great 8 there are now 5 teams sitting with 5 losses and 1 team in the 6th spot with 7 losses! With only 3 games left this is a roller coaster. there is 1 HUGE X-factor that comes into play playoff home court advantage!!! the Great 8 is not only a battle to get in but who's going to host games as that extra boost of home court could be the deciding factor.

Then there's more drama!!! BucsBlue sits as a 5 loss team as well (Winners of their last 5 YES 5 games!!! Those include wins against both of the other top teams in the Big 8.) IF and its a HUGE IF but IF BucsBlue gets to the final... If any of the top teams lose BucsBlue would get finals Home Court Advantage. ( BucsBlue last 3 games are against the 3 worst teams in the Big 8) So assuming Bucs wins all 3.... In the overall league this is ANYBODYS race and III.7 Daily news is just excited for Saturdays & Tuesdays down the Stretch!

I agree, this is the closest race for POs I've experienced in BB. This late in the season and the top 6 still have a chance and the top 5 are all tied, insane. I'm afraid that we'll beat each other up so much that whoever wins our conference will get to the finals with low enth

Either way, it'll be an exciting stretch from now on, good luck to everyone

Yeah it's been very competitive, which i am glad of. Well this is very active league, with dedicated managers, so I think that makes the difference the most.

there are like 3 teams that haven't been very active. everyone else (i assume) scouts and gameplans, probably for an hour per game on average? just a guess. i probably scout a team for 70-80 mins almost every game. minimum 30 mins. makes a big difference competitively.

I dunno about everyone else, but there's no way I'm spending that much time scouting an opponent. I'll spend 5 min (maybe 10 if it's a complex opponent) just to see who their best players are and the tactics they've been using

Are you diving into some statistical analysis? Lol

I never keep up with how much time... But I do at least take a look at a few things and try to figure out what's the best way to give my team an advantage. Sometimes the real advantage is simple... Have the best players.
