We're already at the halfway mark!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't notice any big roster moves other than Lay Down swapping out a big salary guard for a younger, cheaper guy.
Great 8
1) Visionaries -- sometimes being knocked out of the cup early can be a blessing in disguise. These guys aren't a true threat unless they add a player or two, though
2) Jade Dragons -- you could say my prediction was way off the mark here. Curtis is on the US NT now!
3) Burger Chefs -- just about where they should be with plenty of time left to move up
4) Shinoa's Squad -- solid start to the season
5) Sierra Oaks -- sacrificing a bit of league play for a cup run
6) DHS -- horribly unlucky so far. Got CT'd on day 1 by Jade Dragons, of all people, and lost to Visionaries on a buzzerbeater 3. Still in a relatively comfortable position with little threat of relegating.
other) Trap Godz & Most Dope -- separated by 5 point differential, the dregs of the league have their internal competition where they occasionally beat each other
Big 8
1) California Knights -- cruisin'
2) Frogmonsters -- second place, negative 17 point differential. Great management to balance league and cup. ALSO owner of a 1-point win over DHS! Back to back with the Visionaries game, no less.
3) SM Lizards -- For teams like SM and Visionaries with good records and low payrolls, I prefer "salary efficient" as a description over "talent-light". Solid cup run still in progress for this guy including beating an NBBA team on the road.
4) Bay Harbor -- still not sure what this guy is doing, but with the weakness at the bottom of our league this season it currently doesn't matter
5) Lay Down the Law -- selling the big guard was a good move in her situation. Should be able to hold on to the 5 spot and a favorable relegation match
other) Blue Vikings and Caerbannog -- continue to match up evenly with Trap Godz and Most Dope
bot) Lebron -- soon to not be a team
I don't see these standings changing much the rest of the way other than Visionaries falling and DHS rising. But as a league we've had few injuries at all this season and that could definitely throw a wrench in things!
