Round 9 of the TV game show (Match Prediction Contest) is complete with the Drunken Sconnies come out on top 100-72. Lucky for now both teams were able to hold on to their league position. If you lucked out and got to watch the game it really was a complete performance from the Sconnies. The SKILLZ were held to just 30% field goal percentage. 6 players from the sconnies found themselves with double digit scoring totals come game's end. They were so complete with their inside scoring they almost never had to even attempt a 3pt shot. With the Sconnies only taking 5-3pt shots all game. Last thing I'll say is this brings a lot of competition pressure now in the Big 8 with 3rd through 6th place all sitting at 5 wins and just seperated by point differental. WHo will seperate themselves them the pack?

Someone has to win this game. Who is really devoting to getting the first pick? Lake Charles are the closest to safety from relegation are they starting their march back up the table here. Both have perimeter defense that can make trouble for the opposition. However, the injury gods have smited Veli Durul of Steppers with a broken nose that will keep him sidelined. Will Robin Veršek be able to pick up the slack or will all of the Creoles be on other teams by tip off. This is a wild match.

Round 10 of the TV game show (Match Prediction Contest) is complete, with a wild win by Steppers by 96 points in a walkover subverting 3v5 game. Amazingly this means Lake Charles essentially have the 1st pick in the draft all tied up. Barring a walkover somewhere this season. Who will they draft from presumably their last season in D3 prior to rebuilding? Furthermore, this was a ridiculous amount of PD for McSteppingtons. Making their quest for 7th place and safety from automatic relegation that much more within their grasp.

Tuesday 4/16/2024 8:00:00 PM 5th place River Monsters @ 2nd Place Slashing Dragons

A buzzerbeater wiz told me the River Monsters have only played the Slashing Dragons once and that was last season. Slashing Dragons were also home in that game and won 104-92. Despite the scoeline River Monsters also put more into that game.

The Monsters undoubtedly need the win worse than the Dragons do, however the Dragons aren't exactly safe quite yet though. Dragons are top 2 in the league in blocks with 7.6 a game. They also are in the upper third in fewest turnovers and fewest fouls committed. Meanwhile the river monsters are middle of the pack in damn near everything except they are top 3 in the league in keeping their opponents off the offensive glass. No injuries for either team as it stands. Will Zappia and company slay the dragons or will Vilmos and the winged-wonders be too hot to handle?
