I always like to do a First team etc... Cuz BB doesn't. But it's fun/funny as you do it it makes you realize how tough it really is and how much is splitting hairs. I mean I didn't say Remi cuz they play him at Center. So if i was making just 1 first team I was weighing him against Marc Tremol and i thought Marc was better. But if you put Remi to his "natural PF" position then yes he's the best PF. (Kinda like the old Tim Duncan, Kevin Garrnett thing... what do they really play? Center or PF?) I didn't have the time to construct a 2nd, 3rd team... and Honorable mention...
Lets talk MVP... Everyone's Definition of MVP is different. Is it the best player on the best team? Is it the best player in the entire league? Is it the most productive? OUR view is like this on MVP... it SHOULD be the player that if you REMOVED HIM from his team they would drastically be hurt (aka lose lots of games)... According to those guidelines we give our best guess at MVP... Not concrete.
In terms of my top 5 MVP voting right now the III.7 Sports News has it like this going into the playoffs
1. Tommy Lee Tompkins (Best player on #1 overall seed in the league, top 10 in scoring, Assist leader, 14.5 rating)
2. Rodolfo Martinazzi (Leads league in scoring shooting 50%, with a 15.5 rating).. Negative on a team NOT IN PLAYOFFS!
But can't take away his productivity.
3. Timothy Fischer (2nd in Scoring, 15.0 Rating playing PG/SG/SF, Best player on a team 17-5 in the playoffs.)
4. Marc Tremol (currently injured, but leads league in Rebs, Avg Double Double,1st in Blocks)... team NOT IN PLAYOFFS!
Team is under .500
5. Remi Bois (Avg Double Double, Extremely effective C/PF, Shoots OVER 55% FG).. Team NOT IN PLAYOFFS!
Will be interesting to see what everyone else thinks as the top 5 MVP Candidates. I find it interesting that from player productivity there are 3 guys who are teams not in the playoffs. I would love to see who YOU ALL nominate. And find out are you basing it on team status or just individual statistics.
Good luck in the Playoffs!
