In Hattrick, the soccer simulation upon which this game is largely based, the bot teams would remain in Naismith, and likely get demoted next year when they finished at the bottom.

Doesn't Kaboom still have a chance to avoid demotion? You just have to win your playoff series.

yeah, that is true. thats why I still try to win my series even at additional cost. Just to do it the right way. I just didnt agree with the statement that it will be two weaker teams because that might not be true.

You haven't demoted yet, don't you still have a relegation series?

While I can definitely see your point and might be making the exact same argument myself if I was in your shoes, one could also argue that if you don't finish among the top 12 teams in Naismith, perhaps those teams didn't earn the right to stay up here. The argument could work both ways depending on one's point of view.

Also, assuming that the teams replacing you from D2 will be worse could be off base (let me stress 'could' as your team is solid and we don't know exactly who will promote at this point). I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose my league with a 21-1 record to a team with a $765,000 payroll. I think my team is solid enough to win some games in Naismith right now and I still have $$$ to improve it if I choose too. While it could happen, I don't plan on being a 1 and done team next season.

Well I'm very disappointed right now. I got very unlucky with the injury to Lacroix 3 minutes into the game and then had the backup foul out. But I was very worried about PK to begin with. So this loss is not that unexpected to me. Congrats to Rip.

Good Luck to everyone.

dont quit the game yet. It just takes one login per week if you dont analyze every opponent, and with your team strength you probably won't have to in league II (if you demote of course). I also dont plan to login more than once-twice a week for next 3 months starting next week but will try to keep my team in shape somehow
