Hello Everyone Welcome to season 63!

Poll:  Who will win the title this year?

Good to be in DIII.9 (for as long as it lasts). Lots of good teams here; too early for me to make any predictions. Good luck to all in Season 63. Bammablue put it on us pretty good tonight. Lots of work for the Preyers, if we even want a chance to stick around for another season.

Going to be a wild finish on the Great 8 side for the last 2 playoff spots! All 4 teams who are currently tied will play each other in the last three games. Who wants this!!

I expected to lose my game because I always play Fenway tight but they had home court + I know they had higher enthusiasm entering the game. But man watching that game back really makes me mad at the game engine. Illogical things occurred throughout. Really discouraging.

The most experienced player and season 45% shooter shot 8%
I have up 25 pts in first half but 36 in 3rd Q
I had fewest turnovers on season and the opponent was middle of the pack and this game they took care of the ball better
I shot 30% from 3 for the season but 8% for the game - without opponent explicitly defending against it
Opponent avg FT% was 79%, they shot 90% this game
The best player on the court who averages 44% FG and 40%3FG, shot 31% and 20% respectively

I figured Fenway should have won… but if this is HOW i lost, I don’t even know how to train my team to get better now because the game engine feels broken.

Game engine can definitely be wacky at times :) FT % probably just pure luck, same with some of the runs my guys went on. I'm guessing I've got better defense on my roster than the average team in the league, which could explain some of those percentage drops....but sometimes a guy just goes cold

If it's any consolation, I'll be getting a prompt exit courtesy of the white mambas anyway lol

FT% is definitely not pure luck. I invested in it a while ago, which is why my team has consistently been one of, if not the best FT shooting teams in the league.

I'm guessing Fenway just had a good matchup and was able to make the right lineup choices for the game, defensively in particular. Then again, my teams never play defense so what do I know. kek

Our league as a whole was the most competitive it's ever been this season, and hopefully we have another banger next season.

Also...I lost 3 games this season by 2 points and another by 3 points. RIP playoffs

Oh I agree I should have lost - they were better this year, but the way the game played out seemed like nonsense. And yes Mambas is tough …. but I was in the same position last year and snuck by Mambas in the conference semifinal (definitely a glitch in the matrix as i had no business being in that championship last year). Also wild to think that I was in the Championship last year, didn’t lose anyone significant, got better, and could have easily finished 6th in my own conference this year had a few things fallen differently. Our conference is definitely brutal.

Congrats to the warthogs...looks like the great 8 will be a dogfight again next year :)
