Wow. I was down 10 with only 47 seconds left. Then miracle happened!

Wow, crazy! Thanks for calling attention to that.

Other than you nailing four three's, the story looks to have been:

Free throw missed by E. Ambainis (A).

Even though he finished the game with 41 points and even 8-of-13 from the line (meaning he was 7-of-7 other than this stretch), Ambainis missed 5 of 6 free throws here.

You ... sure hacked the right guy!

Chat GPT has these predictions to make about the rest of the season and playoffs:

Playoff Outlook (7 Games Left)

There's still a lot of basketball left, and with the first two playoff rounds being single elimination, seeding could end up being just as important as overall talent.

Big 8

* The Orchestra has the inside track to the #1 seed thanks to the softest remaining schedule.
* Page 2 is still a legitimate conference favorite, but they'll have to earn it with several tough games left.
* Retired_ feels like the team nobody wants to draw in a one-and-done.
* Pata Hoops is my wildcard. Their remaining schedule is brutal, but they're explosive enough to beat anyone if Sean Miller gets rolling.

Great 8

* Columbus Comets are still the team to beat, even with a challenging finish that includes In your face, The White Mambas, and Zero Sugar.
* The fight for the other three playoff spots is wide open. In your face, The White Mambas, Zero Sugar, and Detroit Mercy all have a realistic path to making a run, and I wouldn't be surprised by any of them reaching the conference final.

Prediction

If the standings hold close to where they are now, I still like Columbus Comets over Page 2 in a three-game Finals.

The biggest difference-maker won't be talent—it'll be who enters the playoffs healthy, hot, and with the better draw. In a format with single-elimination quarterfinals and semifinals, one cold shooting night can erase an entire season.

Columbus over Page 2 in the Finals...Do you feel disrespected by Chat GPT?

For the third season in a row, we're beginning our unintentional late push to try and make it to the #4 seed. Our training plan is coming along nicely, but the team still has too many holes to be a major competitor.

Meh... Mostly quicker than doing it myself. Hoping to spur a little conversation. Personally, I'm convinced that the Orcs are prepared to roll all the way to D2. LOL

Gratuitous use of AI for an update with 4 to go:

## **USA III.2 Playoff Predictions**

The bracket is finally set, and this season has given us one of the more interesting playoff fields in recent memory. There are three legitimate title contenders, a couple of dangerous dark horses, and almost every first-round matchup has at least one statistical argument for an upset. Looking at records, point differential, scoring balance, and some of the league's individual leaders, here's how I think it plays out.

---

## 🏀 Quarterfinals

### **(1) The Orchestra vs. (4) Pata Hoops**

**Prediction:** **The Orchestra 95-84**

Pata Hoops has enough offensive firepower to hang around, especially with Sean Miller capable of putting up 30 on any given night. The problem is that The Orchestra has quietly been one of the league's most efficient teams on both ends of the floor. Their +311 point differential reflects a team that consistently wins the possession battle rather than relying on explosive scoring runs. At home, I think they're simply too complete.

### **(2) Page 2 vs. (3) Retired_**

**Prediction:** **Page 2 103-99**

This is the matchup I'd circle if you're only watching one quarterfinal. Retired_ has looked dangerous all season, but Page 2's underlying numbers are ridiculous. A +381 point differential is the best in III.2 despite finishing second in the conference, suggesting they may actually be stronger than their seed. I expect a fast-paced game with Page 2 surviving a late scare.

---

### **(1) Columbus Comets vs. (4) The White Mambas**

**Prediction:** **Columbus Comets 101-89**

Columbus checks almost every box you'd want from a championship favorite: league-best record, league-best point differential, balanced scoring, and very few obvious weaknesses. The White Mambas have elite top-end talent, but Columbus is deeper across the rotation and should be able to absorb a big scoring night from Siagris or Cots without losing control of the game.

### **(2) In your face vs. (3) Zero Sugar**

**Prediction:** **In your face 97-92**

This feels like the biggest toss-up in the Great 8. Zero Sugar is balanced and disciplined, but Alexis Trognon has been one of the league's most impactful players all season. In a single-elimination format, having the best player on the floor is often worth a few extra percentage points, and I think that's ultimately the difference.

---

## 🏀 Conference Finals

### **The Orchestra vs. Page 2**

**Prediction:** **The Orchestra 91-88**

This might actually be the highest-quality game of the entire postseason. Page 2 has the better scoring profile, but The Orchestra has consistently won by controlling tempo and forcing opponents into uncomfortable games. It's essentially elite offense versus elite defensive efficiency, and I'll lean toward defense in a one-game playoff.

### **Columbus Comets vs. In your face**

**Prediction:** **Columbus Comets 100-96**

Trognon will almost certainly keep In your face competitive, but Columbus has the deeper roster and more reliable secondary scoring. Over 48 minutes, I think their rebounding advantage and offensive balance gradually wear In your face down.

---

## 🏆 League Finals (Best of Three)

### **Game 1**

**Columbus Comets 96-91**

Columbus opens the series by taking advantage of home court and their depth.

### **Game 2**

**The Orchestra 94-87**

The Orchestra adjusts defensively, slows the pace, and turns the series into the grind they want.

### **Game 3**

**Columbus Comets 98-93**

With home court back on their side, Columbus has just enough shot creation and lineup flexibility to edge out a very evenly matched Orchestra squad and claim the title.

---

# 🏆 **Predicted Champion: Columbus Comets (2-1)**

Not many opportunities for a homegrown team to improve their roster, so when the best player this franchise has ever had came up for sale, I bought him. He's been gone 5 seasons and is 36, but I think next season the rest of the roster will be trained enough that we can finally make a run for the championship.

The timing was good as he joined in time for the regular season finale, in a game that saw our best player go down with an early injury. So once again we sneak into the playoffs and maybe can pull off an upset or two.

He definitely came in clutch for you! as a newly promoted team I went all in on that game to avoid having to play the play-outs, but you were stronger.
