We have beaten No Limit BPE in both meetings this season, with 2 very different rosters. For our third meeting, the roster has been significantly changed yet again. From our first meeting, 6 players on the roster are no longer with us. From the second meeting another player has since left with 4 incoming. Just before this final meeting, we brought in 2 more players that will see action. We are not the same team that won 108-99 early in the season. We are not the same team that won an overtime thriller, 126-124. We think we have tightened up both our perimeter and interior defense. We think we have added scoring punch. So why does this game scare us as much as it does?
Because it took a Herculean effort from the duo of Gregori Gorraez (52 points, 9 of 13 from 3 pt) and Walt Colenbrander 38 points 9 assists, 6-10 from 3 pt) to get the job done in the second meeting. Because Evgeny Larkin always delivers big rebounds against us and Daniel Rognoni is a problem we still haven't solved.
We do not look upon No Limit lightly. We expect a battle. We expect to win. We expect to need more than 25 points off the bench to do it. We expect to need someone to step on the boards off the bench. We also expect someone who has simply filled a role to step up and surprise. We had a 12 assist game from soemone we didn't see it coming from in the overtime win; who's going to be the X-factor for us?
We've gotta deal with the No Limit problem before we can address the Andersonville problem...
