For the second season in a row, the AmenRa boys had to fight to the end to secure their seat in BBBL. With a 10-12 regular season record, they could not avoid the 6th spot, and had to face a relegation battle against The Obira Dragons. The very convincing home win in game 1 boosted the squad’s energy and the next goal – winning at Eragon Dome - soon became a reality.
For several days now, there have been some rumor coming from Southern Belgium… AmenRa owners seem ready to loosen the purse strings in order to look toward the top of the Conference. It started last Saturday shortly before the season tip-off, with the signing of rising star point guard Aristotele Borro, who replaces Aimeric Mertens in the squad. Along with Jean Fradet and Ronald Van der Haeghen, both 23 years-old as well, Boro will complete a strong and promising backcourt, and will hopefully carry AmenRa’s destiny in the near future. For that matter, VdH has been selected to be part of the Belgian National Team, a news that makes the AmenRa organization very proud.
So what’s next? It seems that another player could be soon added to the roster… At least we hope, but the ideal SF is not easy to find, is it Mizu? (and I do not have 5,3 millions!). The intention is to be ready for season 20 and to start playing a major role in the league!
Cowboys, Arlon, Angels, Sonics, Ventola… Those days are over, when you only had to appear in order to win in the Tenebres Arena!
