All good things must come to an end. Last night, in the conference finals' game, our guys have been -logically- defeated by the strongest team Belgium has ever witnessed. Despite the home court advantage and a strong game shape, all efforts came up short as Vottem proved unstoppable, already cruising to an early 20 point-lead at halftime. It got even worse in the 3rd before our lads brought the gap down to more decent numbers.
This looks like a hit-and-miss season. We did have the best record in the league, we did reach the Cup and the B3 semis, but bottom line is we haven't won any trophy.
What becomes clear now is, with all these rising teams chasing us and this remarkable Cowboys team that dominates again, some decisions have to be taken, in one direction or another. Our -aging- squad has reached its maximum potential and will likely not be competitive enough to meet our high expectations.
A page must be turned and all options must now be considered. This is why the team organization is going to take a step back to better analyse the situation and take as much time as necessary to have a look at all possibilities.
