Cyprus U21-Rep.Dominicana U21: match info

Second match, first win. We beat Reo.Dominicana 91-82. It is great success, because they played CT against our TIE and had far better enthusiasm.
TACTICS: They have great outside players, but inside it is not so good, so we played LI and 3-2 Zone in order to eliminate their outside strength. Also we had to eliminate their PG-and we did it. He scored 40 points, but it was with unbelievable shooting 18-50!!

MATCH: From the beginning we played tied match-but soon we made the decisive leading and won the first quarter 27-15. The second one began bad and in one moment there was only 6 points difference. Finally, in the half time we lead by 8 points. Third part was again our-and leading raised to 15 points. In the final moments of the game was the opponent fouling Livaris, who had FT 0-14!. We won the match, even that Alvertis and Sanli were injured, but they are fit yet.

Also I decided to select 3 MOTM-the manager of the player mostly in this selection can try to set a lineup for some after-season friendly.

For the first match it is:Alvertis, Negris, Distomos
For this match it is: Gkousis, Distomos, Papadogeorgakis
Squad to face Rep.Dominicana
PG-Tsiafkaris-Psarras
SG-Alvertis-Livaris
SF-Distomos-Kapsis

The second match in Consolation Tournament is here - we will play against Rep.Dominicana. We have four new players in the roster - Stefos Papadogeorgakis, Mimis Tsiafkaris, Charalampos Livaris and Yiorgos Anastasiadis. We have better players than opponent, but lower enthusiasm because of CT against Austria.

By the way: in the World ranking we are 69th, that´s the highest ranking in last 7 seasons!
