Eggplant salutes Baumert farewell

Nicolas Baumert has been a big part of Eggplantpopolopolous since its first season when they won the championship but they are now parting ways. The team has made it public that they have placed Baumert's services on the transfer list and are ready to end his tenure with the club.

However, Baumert's contributions will not go unrecognized as he is the first player to be inducted into Eggplant's hall of fame, with a nod to his triple-double performance off the bench against Vodafone Hisense and took less than 20 minutes in the game to achieve this feat.

Whilst Baumert is shooting an okay 42% FG this season, he has shot only 27% FG over his last 10 games, which is something the team had grown concerned of. Baumert currently leads the III.4 league in steals and blocks per 48 mins but will soon relinquish his status in these categories once he has been sold and/or fallen under the minimum amount of games played.

The team is reporting that Andres Vaabel, a long-time point guard of the team, is also close to suffering the same fate but is also likely to be inducted into their hall of fame. Niran Gur (PF/C) is older than Vaabel and has also been around since their first season but has shown consistently good play so far this season to justify holding onto, at least for the remainder of this season.
