John was known to be the first in the gym each morning and the last out each night. He always gave 110%. He overcame adversity. He just wasn't too bright.

John rebuilt the sauna, even though he was not permitted to use it. John was a source of unintended humor for his mates. John sensed he was the butt of the jokes, but wasn't sure.
John tried to shoot like Fred, or play defense like Floyd, or be cool like Cecil, but he was little better than average at all he attempted. He didn't do too many things wrong, and most things right, and he always tried to do right. Doing the right thing, going the right way, taking a turn for the worse, and always left behind, John could get confused, but thought being that way was normal.
