Press Announcements

Season 70 - For real this time

The Irish U21s are stuck in a loop of some good players coming together but just not good enough pass mediocrity. Each year delivers some unique talents who will progress to be a great players, but not enough collective to progress a truly great team. This past season, again, holds nothing to sing highly of but falls to a lowly 77th in the world. And this is fair. We had a competitive record of 2-5. Andy Robinson will collect his 'Pat Conroy' Losing Season MVP at the local chipper this Sunday.

The season previous (which there was no press release) came together too late as some players became very good at the end of the season. There was some great players to note and MVP of that season was David Tone.

However the world will keep spinning, the team will continue to exist so there will always be someone to collect the pieces of the U21s, and hopefully be there to capitalize on when the iron is hot to return to better days. The recent Irish U21 win comes at a surprise as they beat a much higher ranked Swiss team. Must have been for the Lindor.

For the next season, we will try and try again.

We say goodbye to the following players of note for Irish Coaches in the future and join the alumni of Irish U21s Note of Fame:
Miley "Gregory" Friel [playerid= 54474349]
Duncan Mallaghan [playerid= 54537974]
Paul Ó Lorcáin [playerid= 54234218]
Norman Doyle [playerid= 53856153]
David Tone [playerid= 54167226]
Jermaine Slavan [playerid= 53856095]
Lee "Tiogar" Donoghue [playerid= 54231906]
Ralph Arrigan [playerid= 53924242]
