Looking back on a good Euro run in Season 72

First qualification to the second round since season 62
We were very proud to qualify for the first time in 10 seasons for the second round of the Euros. Our group had a clear favourite in Serbia but also strong competition in Ukraine, Slovakia and England with the homecourt advantage. And during the 1st round Scotland also presented itself as a stronger team than originally expected.

After a first loss to Serbia we were able to win all our games but unfortunately had to sacrifice our enthusiasm to do it.

In the second round we were simply far outmatched. Maybe Belgium and Hungary could have been a duel if we were at similar enthusiasm, but with lower than 5 enthusiasm we were not able to challenge anyone.

Special awards go out defensively to:
1. van Ittersum
2. Schmelzer
3. Lek

... for an incredible defense throughout the tournament.

We struggled offensively but the most credit goes out to:
1. Karelse
2 Markies & Sarlemijn

Thanks to all coaches for their training, both our starters and our depth.
