Your guys are playing 144 minutes a week and are still in 7 respectable game shape despite that....it seems to have been working.

Training a player who you think could make our u21 National Team? Message me to check in with progress towards the team.

Also, important to note than GS training is decreasing in effectiveness if you do it week after week.

I also find that GS training has been quite effective here (while I don't really understand/want to understand other aspects of it, such as too many weekly minutes decreasing stamina - in one sense that should be the other way around, but that's already another discussion), FWIW.

This is where things then start to go bit off topic maybe as far as my post is concerned (and should possibly have been written on another thread requesting changes to the game), I just wanted to add that I've been around since BB season 12, and I've never heard of GS training decreasing in effectiveness if it's done week after week, so it's interesting to find that out).

I don't see it mentioned in an official game manual (under Practice, where I guess it should be existing, or frankly anywhere else in game manual either), and nuggets of information such as this, when you count all of them together, are starting to play a role of some kind in both one's success and their understanding and even commitment to the game.

Why I mention about it, is that while this is not perhaps even a prime example of it, I really think game manual needs a thorough overhaul to cater better for all of us, but especially if we think about the appeal-factor to new users, minimalistic approach of game manual often leaves lot to be desired. (And if one doesn't want to make game manual a novel, then maybe BB could separate "advanced game manual" and "basic game manual" - there's already example of this in a form of tactics options available to a manager, based on selection they make on match tactics/roster set up-page).

It shouldn't be so that you'd have to go through hundreds or even thousands of forum posts to find out such information (or not even then find it out at all, as has been the case with me, and I don't think I'm totally alone with this), and then having to memorize it years later if I happened to find such piece of information to begin with.
For one reason or another I decided to stick with BB nevertheless (despite game manual lacking already on season 12), but if we want BB to have an appeal to new "average" users as well, let's make things easier and more approachable if in any way possible, as I suspect not everybody has the amount of patience even I have (and I consider myself patient), when it comes to learning different aspects of BB through forum discussions.

Most importantly this example on difficulties of finding information from/learning about BB is just a top of an iceberg - I can't state exact examples (see, this is why I wrote, 'if I can recall such nuggets of information years later') here, but I can recall there have been numerous other nuggets of information that I've only been able to learn/find out through endless browsing on BB forums, and not by reading BB game manual (which of course should have been the case instead).

From a newcomers perspective I'd expect this to be a very off-putting design choice, if even I, who is interested to learn more about the game, finds it often times more arduous than it needs to be. Again, I don't think I'm even alone with my opinion here.
Is this the largest problem of BB? Absolutely not. But just something I wanted to point out, as I haven't seen much done to this issue since season 12... and we're on season 72. I understand your hands might be tied in terms of being able to affect such things/proposition of mine, but nevertheless, here's my two cents.

It is introduced in S33. (223143.42)

You are right.
In my opinion, currently, we need to check the game manual and the news from each season to know the rules more completely.

I am a little curious: does each country not have its own BB guide information?

Thanks for your response. I had no idea it had been announced in a season news (season 33 in this case).

Yes, these changes would need to be updated to game manual, in addition to the other, currently missing information.

I don't know whether or not each country have their own BB guide, but even if they would, I think it's good to remember at least 4 things:
- information in BB guides can also be old/in a need of an update, and it doesn't update automatically if any changes are made (so updating it is on a shoulders of creator of posts - it is being done, or it's not being done, and how would one be able to know whether or not they read out of date-information or not?), and
- it's not necessarily official/officially endorsed information that you can read from there (at least from my point of view; I'd be interested to know though, how knowledgeable BB staff is in general, does everyone know every "nut and bolt" in BB or do they have certain specialization areas?)
- in Finland we have forum thread (translated in English) "Help - Finland", and in there we for example have thread called "beginners questions" (again, translated to English). This thread contains 959 posts. I have not read most of them. Would I learn some new things by reading them, even if being an experienced manager? Sure. Would my time be well spent doing so and am I willing to read through those mostly outdated posts from 2008 until 2022, to gain such knowledge, that I don't know it's even valid knowledge anymore. Nope. While it's definitely positive thing forums exist, it's just a silly design choice even to try to put managers through such chore, in an exchange of offering 'possibly or possibly not' useful and up to date-information.
- it's mind boggling, how BB doesn't officially "open up" these things with more detail in game manual, such as how each training will effect each skill (to which extent), or even officially endorse some table "to being very close to truth" that some managers have compiled regarding training efficiency and impact - again, this training efficiency/impact issue is just a one example, and you shouldn't have to dig forums to gain such knowledge (if it is knowledge, as it's not official).

Now having to rely mostly on forums to gain any deeper "knowledge" of BB is again something that makes it more confusing and arduous, than it needs to be. Especially as a non Supporter user with no forum search functionality, browsing/searching info from forums seems like an arduous side hustle (while it should be fun and interesting instead).

As an experienced manager, I know I can very likely trust on words of some certain manager, proven by their "track record" in my books in terms of providing helpful and accurate information. (This is not the case with new managers though, who don't "know" practically anyone from BB).
However, even I find it frustrating that BB forum (like most forums in internet though to be fair) are somewhat of a mess, that include very good and helpful answers, and then some less worthy ones (in terms of information reliability or content) and off-topic replies all combined, into which mess you have to dive deep into in the hopes to finding what you're looking for.

Unfortunately, my reply partly fits into an off-topic category, but I also hope it would be helpful in terms of driving a change.
So I'm sorry for taking conversation into off-topic, but I guess it's not so critical in this case as OP already got some good answers...

Many of current BB managers have been around for a long time and in a way are more tolerant/accepting to BB's weaknesses - partly myself too. But I don't think new managers take it well.

Thank you. I got busy with life and forgot to set my lineups for a few games so was trying to train gameshape to negate my lineup mistakes. Thanks for clarification. I had done a great job at gameshape management all season. At the end of the day, my mistake. Thank you guys! I’m on the cusp of being able to progress up the league ladder soon.
