My apologies if I’m posting in the wrong forum, but here goes:

I have a 21 yr old PG trainee (currently training OD) who I’ve consistently managed 48 minutes and not exceeding 60 minutes. He was progressing pretty well until approximately 4-5 weeks ago. He sat out with facial lacerations for a week or 2, but since he’s been back (and fully healthy) it’s been 3-4 weeks without a single pop, and no cross pops for other players. I was under the assumption that the algorithm for OD was something like .50 per week, so I expected every 2-3 weeks he’d get a meaningful OD pop, and if lucky, a cross pop here and there. But for the last 3-4 weeks, nothing.

What am I doing wrong? What am I misunderstanding? Or am I just not being patient enough?

Thanks in advance.

He is quite a taller trainee at 6"7 so you might have just been unlucky with the sub levels, (assuming he isn't capped). It also looks like your guy has maybe only had 2 full trainings and a couple of part trainings since Friday 18th September.

Training a player who you think could make our u21 National Team? Message me to check in with progress towards the team.

Thank you! So is there something I should be doing differently? If I’m wasting my time with this guy, I need to know so I can change my strategy.

Thanks again.
