Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to have a fast and slow server until the player base is built up more. Some countries only have a handful of players as it is and making them choose between servers will mean going up against even less real players. I think you have to choose which route to go down and commit to it. I'm good either way.

I fully endorse all other changes though. Especially better tutorials and the need to update to 2024 standards both in code and visually.

Been on the game since 2012, so I'm an OG who's learned the ways of both training, the beauty of realizing a player's potential, and also competing at the top levels.

Definitely agree that changes should be made incrementally, but also I won't complain if Marco & Staff experiment with different tactics to spice this game up a bit--I too, used to see the days of BB of 40k+ users and I wouldn't mind seeing that come into fruition again one day. I think the game has a bevy of untapped potential on the market.

Different servers may criss-cross with the overall integrity of the game, however myself and a few others wouldn't mind seeing the proposals that could be had at hand.

All I advise is just not to put all eggs in one basket, focus on improving the game play and UI/UX code within the home central server first, that way a migration and maintenance can be successfully achieved in the future. Tutorials that could be linked via youtube/videos, more game manuals, player archetypes explained, all of these can be fruitful assets that a new manager could capitalize on. Many users including myself would've benefited from this and might've seen intensive competiton sooner if known of these elements. It is important to capture new clientele to keep the game growing. Let's see what we can cook up.

I think I was something like 55,000th in the World when I started here.

Since then the game has declined.

By most people's logic, that means I'm to blame.

Sorry everyone.

New faster server name should be "Super Buzzerbeater II Turbo", for a classic retro game vibe

Best of luck in balancing the entrenched player base and creating a game that will bring in some new people.

To my fellow long time users out there, alas, the glory days of the MMORPG text sim are over and we have to do the best we can.

I am heartened to hear that the current thinking is that the quicker pace game would be a new server and start from scratch. It would be interesting to me to start over but with all the tutorials and everything in line instead of having to search around to figure out how many seats to build when and what infrastructure and can we talk about automatic seat pricing? The arena seating and costs are something I would love to see automated. It goes back to the age old question is this a financial sim or a basketball tactics sim.

I don't think we have the same definition of the 2008 and 2024 feel. You can still have a clean/oldschool looking 2024 feel, but with much better UI/UX that is easy to understand and navigate. Compare it to PC games being remastered, or indie games having an oldschool look but modern gameplay. In any case, it isn't the 2008 feel that makes BB a great game for me.
