Please vote in current HGL voting as soon as possible. It is an important matter/decision, and we need your votes. All the other currrent HGL managers have already voted.

Like mentioned, this is an important decision (should such change take place or not), and I think it would be very important to receive a vote from all current HGL managers.

Therefore I already reserve the right to lengthen the voting deadline slightly, in the case all votes would have not been cast by June 14th, 11.59PM a.k.a. 23.59 EET DST.

Having said that, I'd only reluctantly do that, so HB, ALA, and TRO, please cast your vote very soon, thank you. You may do so by responding to this post.

@all current HGL managers:

To quote myself above, as mentioned, because not all current HGL managers have yet voted and because voting result is still totally undecided, it will be necessary to lengthen the voting window a bit, as we are still missing two votes (from Hårdboll and Club Trouville).

* * * * * * * * *
Spela and Chucarro, please cast your vote (Vote A or Vote B) as soon as possible by responding to either this post, or by responding to this original post (here: (331392.86)).
* * * * * * * * *

Current voting result after 16 votes:

Vote A: 8 votes
Vote A= no change to current system; no teams will be kicked/dropped out of HGL due to bad success on that HGL Season.

Teams that voted A:
ED
HGK
LMS
FRE
VDT
EOS
WAG
ALA

Vote B: 8 votes
Vote B= 1 worst HGL team per each HGL Season will in general* be kicked out of HGL, if they lose match against best "currently non-HGL" team (of that Season).

Teams that voted B:
VPO
BCR
KKS
MAD
RAJ
LGM
WMO
VIV

*= unless of course if it would be the case, that 1 or more current HGL teams would be withdrawing in a short notice, and especially if in that scenario also no other new teams (than the team that won worst HGL team in a single HGL-RPF match) would apply&/qualify to HGL that Season, then in that case even that current HGL team that would lose HGL-RPF (HGL Relegation/Promotion Final), could be offered a place in HGL for the next Season.
However, this is somewhat unlikely scenario, so please vote based on the basic idea/rule in mind, that if you vote "Vote B" it means that in practice one worst HGL team is being relegated per Season, should they lose that HGL-RPF match.

Roster Changes

I recently retired 2 players:

Gary Nutley - $5985 salary
Howie Forrest - $3145 salary

Total Salary - $9130

Edited the Transfers-post of Season 5, with the assumptions that dates of firing were 14th and 15th of June, respectively.

Voting is still under way - HB has not logged in since 10th of June, hence my BBMails and these forum messages have not reached him.

As far as Club Trouville's vote goes, we need to evaluate the value of his vote.
What do I mean by this? One manager made a note, that he has transfer listed all his 15 players.
Currently 13 of them have offers been made on them, so that would leave him with 2 players. Technicallly, if no other players are being offered, and he'd receive 3 new players from draft, that'd take him to the minimum HGL participation limit of 5 players in roster. However, as we all know, this is as far from ideal as it can be, and none of his recent actions are in a line with the long term participation commitment.

This is super awkward situation. I have contacted him in couple of occasions now by BBMail to ask about his "automatic commitment" he has given before (meaning "automatic participation confirmation"), that he has not withdrawn to this date.
I also asked about his plans and willingness to participate to HGL Season 6.
I also gave him a tip, that if he wants to salvage the situation, he should probably make bids for his own players, to ensure they will remain in his team when player sales is finished.
No response from him yet - any whatsoever.

He has also changed his user name from Chucarro to Yayo, for whatever reason.

Unfortunately this kind of behavior isn't unheard of in HGL (it's more common than I'd ever wanted to believe), and it still doesn't stop to amaze me, how people just decide to end communication and (likely) exit HGL that way.
What makes it even more baffling, is that TRO is one of the original teams of HGL, starting from Season 1.

Has anyone heard of Chucarro/now Yayo? Does anyone know if he uses Discord?

****

If TRO would exit HGL, then we would have at least 1 place on offer for HGL Season 6 through HGL-PL (for non-HGL team).

Currently Tassie Devils have shown their interest to participate to HGL-PL.

As for other teams, I have not received any other messages (to inform me of interest to participate to first HGL-PL) due to my post on HGL or Homegrown teams II-tread, but San Fernando VR initially quite recently mentioned selling/firing their HGL ineligible player wouldn't be a problem, so that he could participate to HGL-PL.

I'm still waiting for his final response/participation confirmation though, which I haven't had despite couple of attempts.

Thanks demars - my only hope is that there wasn't too much sarcasm in that comment, as we all know what French (and Finnish) sense of humour is like.. ;) But anyway, I'm trying to keep it running as smoothly as possible, with the resources (time) I have at my hands..

@all HGL managers, 3 things - number 3. also for managers that are interested in participating to HGL:

1. Possible team dismissal/firing from HGL ahead, if no contact will be able to be made with Club Trouville's (TRO) manager, Chucarro (now Yayo?), and if he isn't willing to make corrective measures in terms of his team roster depth:

He has sold all his players. Yes, you read right, all 15.
See here: https://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/115547/transferhistory.aspx

If he doesn't acquire players from other teams (I don't know if players are on transfer list, that he has previously fired or sold), he will lose all his remaining Season 5 Regular Season matches by 0-50 forfeit.

I have contacted him multiple times, without any success. I have asked about his willingness to participate to Season 6 (now that he sold all his players, I asked if he is willing to purchase back players so that he'd again have HGL eligible roster for Season 6 - still waiting for his reply).

Consequences for running too small roster/dressing too few players to HGL matches can be read for example from here: (331392.12).

2. Update on HGH voting:
Still no further update (voting remains open) as Spela has still not logged in since 10th of June, so we are waiting for his reply. Reminder on voting has been sent to him earlier (also after June 10th).

3. Current situation on HGL-PL:
Currently 2 teams have shown their interest to participate to HGL-PL. Teams' success in HGL-PL would determine the order, in which places in HGL are offered to teams, if (and it seems more and more likely, as) there are dismissals/firings of teams, or voluntary withdrawal of current HGL teams.

Currently Tassie Devils (Australia) and San Fernando VR (Spain) have informed me they want to participate to HGL-PL.
EDIT: Further interested/participating teams are: M.L.S. REICH (Lithuania). (End of an edit).

**********
Everybody, who are interested in participating to HGL on Season 6 (played fully during next BB season), please let me know as soon as possible, either by replying to this post or sending me BBMail.
**********

In order to participate to HGL, you first and foremost have to have participated to HGL-PL (free short league and/or playoffs, that is played with using Pickup match(es), and governed and schedule for it provided by HGL).

To begin with, only if there have been more team withdrawals/dismissals in HGL, than there have been participants in most recent HGL-PL, you may be offered a place in HGL - I hope that underlines the importance of HGL-PL in terms of team selection to HGL.

You are working hard, Wagner. Thank you and 1+

As for letting you know about playing next season, are you still expecting those of us who have made it clear that we will be playing indefinitely...to still reply here?

Either way, i will be here as long as the HGL lives! (Or you kick me out) which ever comes first .

Thank you.

Thanks.
It's good practice to still reply/renew commitment if one wants to continue, however, in an ideal world that wouldn't be necessary for a team to repeat their "automatic commitment", or "AC" (++ sign on participating/interested teams-post) each Season.

However, Club Trouville (TRO) had this same AC given (and has never withdrawn it), and we all can see what's the situation with them currently. I'd expect that situation with them is an exception and not a rule, however having said that, it's unfortunately not first (nor likely last) time that this sort of situation has taken (/takes) place.

So I noticed I still haven't given a proper answer to your question, but for some reason, I might be tempted to wanting to believe that other teams that have given their continuous/automatic commitment stick with their promise/commitment (without having to repeat that each Season).

It's still possible though, that we need to stop using "AC functionality" in the future if this remains to be a problem irritatingly enough, and make everyone commit again each Season, but on the other hand now that HGL-PL will be in place, it will be (at least theoretically) easy to invite "next team on queue" to HGL should surprising wihdrawals/dismissals take place.

Update:
HB has still not logged in (since June 10th).

TRO has been sent a warning of a dismissal from HGL as a BBMail, and also a request to let us know if he's willing to buy back players that he has sold in the past, to be able to qualify as a HGL team on Season 6.
He has logged in quite regularly, but has not felt necessary to reply any of my BBMails or HGL Thread requests.
This, in addition to becoming non-HGL eligible team by purpose (not even due to forced bankruptcy sales, as one HGL manager mentioned their starting sales price would've otherwise been $0 and not 1000), is kind of enough to kick one out of HGL.

However, I've been patient with teams in the past with communication problems (BUC and SUM to name few - maybe there have been more, but I can't instantly/initially remember them now), so I'll now apply the same 'overly patient'-mode to this situation, especially as TRO has been with us since the very beginning (which, like I mentioned, makes this even more baffling situation).

I repeat this question: does anyone know if TRO (Chucarro/ now Yayo) or HB (Spela) use Discord?

@ all currently Home-grown teams that are not yet playing in HGL, but are interested in participating to next HGL Season:

This is (more or less) a final call on HGL-PL (HGL Promotion/Participation League) participation!

HGL is, if someone is still unaware of it, a Pickup match based league, in where we all organize Regular Season matches manually before each Season starts based on schedule provided by HGL.
HGL main Thread for HGL Season 5: (331392.1)
HGL Scores Thread for HGL Season 5: (331391.1)

Teams that are "on the queue/waiting list" to HGL, are first and foremost being offered a place to HGL based on their success in most recent HGL-PL.

HGL-PL doesn't "eat up" too many tokens from your team either (likely 1-3), as it seems not too many teams are participating to first ever HGL-PL.

Why I am "repeating" my earlier post about announcing your HGL/HGL-PL interest, is because it seems likely we actually have at least one place open to HGL Season 6 (played during next BB season), as probably we are going to have to dismiss one current HGL team from our current roster of 18 teams.

So please let me know by sending me BBMail as soon as possible, if you want to participate first to HGL-PL (which is starting soon - please be prepared for that!), and then of course to HGL as well.

The formerly announced deadline (for informing about your interest to participate to HGL.PL) has already passed, but I'm still keeping it open for now.

"HGL-PL participation announcement-time window" might be closed soon without further notice, so if you're interested, let me know before it's too late, as it can close any day/week now.

Currently 4 teams have announced their interest to participate to first ever HGL-PL:

Tassie Devils: (38697) (Top8-salaries $174K)
San Fernando VR: (77070) (Top8-salaries $111K without HGL-ineligible player)
M.L.S. REICH: (39615) (Top8-salaries $157K)
borteam: (46607) (Top8-salaries $108K)

Note, that you have to have 100% Home-Grown roster when HGL-PL starts, otherwise you can't participate in it.
San Fernando VR has promised to sell/fire their HGL-PL ineligible player, Bolourchian, before HGL-PL starts.

As you can see, there's still plenty of room in HGL-PL for new teams, so please let me know ASAP if you would like to participate in it! There are also no "monster teams" (say, +$500K top8-salaries) this time around, so all "mid-class" home-grown teams might well have a good chance to win the first ever HGL-PL.
