Thanks!
To be honest, I didn't think I'd win... I played without my best defender, and your players had very high DMI and good shape better than mine.
The final score is misleading, in my opinion. Your team had better ratings than mine, as well as many more rebounds.
I really can't explain the victory...

I congratulate my opponent on winning the tournament ;) Even 30 offensive rebounds didn't help me.....

Also congratulations to all HGL medalists on Season 3 on my behalf!

Virtus Portici again seemed to be an unsurmountable mountain for all of us, and like Hadár well pointed out, even monstrous 30 (!) offensive rebounds (and 13 rebounds edge on total rebounds) didn't make Final a close call. In a 16 points victory, VPO and HAD shot almost similar amount of shots beyond the three point arc (25 and 26, respectively), but VPO scored 21 points more than HAD from three point range. Also VPO´s 12 blocks (vs. HAD´s 3 blocks) were making sure VPO's win streak kept on continuing.

Bronze match wasn't a close one either, except that before 4th quarter RAJ led by only 11 points. But having 46,7 to 27,7% edge in FG% and clear difference also in 3 pointers seemed to be one of the decisive factors. Difference is apparent, if you consider that KKS shot more than double amount of threes compared to RAJ (31 and 14 shots), but scored on only one more three point field goal than RAJ (6 and 5 made 3p FG).
These, with 57-47 edge in total rebounds, helped RAJ to reach a second consecutive Bronze medal in HGL.

@all HGL managers:
Please stay tuned and keep on following Official HGL Thread (especially the other, "main" HGL Thread), as preparations for HGL Season 4 will be started somewhat soon.

Also, if you still haven't filled all match links and scores on your team's own box score post, now it's time to do it.

@all:
I'm looking forward to start adding content to Season 4 Official Threads very soon, after which I ask all of you to proceed with Pickup (PU) match organizing process soon, because there will be only about 12-13 days before Season 4 begins and all Regular Season matches need to be organized before Season starts!

For those of you to whom go through this process for the first time, I remind that we don't have that much time to send and accept challenges; that time means that you need to have added those match links to your own box score post (that you will create for your team, on Season 4 Thread, by replying to my team box score post), and I need to have verified well before Season 4 starts that all match details are correct.

Remember, I can not verify before match is played, that is it neutral court match, so be especially accurate with that, as well as with the correct official HGL match time (14.30/2.30PM EET on Season 4)!

I will change markings of challenge responsibilities from bolded text to #, so if that's before your team name on Season 4 schedule, it's your responsibility to send match challenge.

And again, if anyone spots wrong information, bad links etc. on Official Threads please let me know.

Sorry for a bit of a delay, but I have good news:

I don't see any reason why we wouldn't be able to accept new-to-HGL team, French team Vindicta (manager Jioshoo) to our Season 4 team roster! French teams are even more well represented after this addition, and they'll be able to get loads of local HG competition.

Also another "last minute addition" for HGL Season 4, as mister, who doesn't need any further introduction - MrJ - with his newly named HG team Homegrown Kings sent request to join for Season 4 and it was easy to accept him immediately as our newly built schedule allowed addition of 18th team with only small changes!
If that name (Homegrown Kings) doesn't ring bells, most of us (except new teams joining for this Season) would remember Swan River Serpents, which used to be name of MrJ's home-grown team when he was participating to HGL earlier.

Well before this, Alanurmon Rikkaat from Finland had announced their commitment to participate for Season 4, so while Suuret Muinaiset from Finland left HGL at least for now (and ended up selling almost all of his players just recently, as you can see from newly published transfers-post), Nordic representation stays strong in HGL and personally I'm very glad to be able to welcome Finnish team to our league!

So, welcome to all of you three on my behalf!

Yeah, I noticed you happened to be on the same "regular BB league" as well, quite nice coincidence! :)

To quote my earlier message, I now confirm that HGL Season 4 Official Threads are now full of typical HGL information, mostly on typical locations (only some minor changes from Season 3) such as schedule, and an instructive posts on how match organizing process goes.

As a match organizing/off-season memory refresher, one can read for instance:
"What everyone who participates to Season 4 of HGL needs to do now" (329502.13)
and announcement "We're ready to organize all Regular Season matches for HGL Season 4!" (329502.2)

I want to remind and ask everyone participating to HGL Season 4, that please proceed immediately with creating your own box score post on HGL Scores Season 4 Official Thread, by responding to this message: (329502.20) and then sending correct match challenges to your opponents (that you see from HGL Season 4 schedule on HGL Scores thread, as usual).

We have only 12 days before Season 4 starts to complete the whole process including verifying matches, so there's no time to waste.

(Don't wonder where my challenges are - I won't send them yet as I'm being way too exhausted now, working for this project for the last 8-9 hours straight.. So likely tomorrow you'll see some match challenges from me on your BBMail/friendlies-page.

Important note on organizing Season 4 matches:

I have already noticed two matches being organized at a wrong time, so in the case this would be a wider problem, I remind you all again that you use official designated match time for each team (official local time, meaning your local time) when organizing matches.

This will change for 1 hour from season to another, depending on Daylight Savings Time-cycles.
**************
When DST is not observed in EET time zone when season begins, Official HGL match time is your local equivalent of 14.30PM EET (Normal Time) which is the case for Season 4.
****************

When DST is observed in EET time zone when season begins, match time is 15.30PM EET DST (Daylight Savings Time).

I quote my Announcement posts:

For each team an Official Local Time is provided, which they use when sending PU match invitations. Found (before team name), here: (329502.12).
Use only this time given to your team specifically, and nothing else, when organizing (also when accepting!) Pickup matches!

Let's take one example that I saw:
- VPO-EOS is organized at 15.30 a.k.a. 3.30PM EET; this is 1 hour too late, it needs to be reorganized.
Note: if you have sent more match requests at that faulty time, please cancel them now so tokens are not lost.

- when either of team takes a look at above link (with match times), they notice this time is not correct, as they should send and accept challenges only at that time, that is designated time for their team:

- in other words, LennuK. (EOS) should send and accept Season 4 challenges at 02.30PM (and see those accepted matches being played at that time, when they look at their teams' "regular BB schedule" or friendly matches-page, in where pending match offers can be seen).
For VPO on the other hand, this local time that they see in the friendly matches-page (and eventually on regular BB schedule) would be 01.30PM, because they are 1 hour behind EET time zone.

Example:
When I send challenge, I send it on Season 4 at 2.30PM my time (which is time that I see on post #12 that is linked above and below).
When for example VPO sees it in his friendly matches page, this time appears to him as 01.30PM, which would be correct, because
A) this is the time that he sees in this table (and in participating teams-posts): (329502.12)
B) it's also logical because Italy is 1 hour behind EET time zone, which is a reference time zone in HGL.
(Your local time differences compared to EET time zone are represented in participating teams-posts on both threads, 3rd posts, before the team name and = sign; however, use time on that table, or table linked on A) above when you organize matches.

Always ask if you're unsure of the time, so that we don't end up losing lots of tokens.

Thanks !

I'm, as I hoped, now in League2 (21-1 +747 AND champion !).
Now, the goal is to stay at any cost (excepting recruiting^^) in League2 and make progress to reach Playoffs in 2 seasons...
