I have been contacting you about HGL-PL duties that need to be completed way before HGL-PL starts on next Monday.

You still have plenty of things that are required to be done:

- You haven't organized all HGL-PL matches (or at least provided match links - I can not see any of them!). This needs to be done well before HGL-PL starts!

- You haven't created your box score post for HGL-PL to Home-Grown League (HGL) Season 5 Official Thread.
Again, read my previous BBMails to find out instructions.

- when you organize matches, note that it needs to have same time of the day as your Round 1 match against San Fernando VR; all other times are not valid match times, so organize it exactly at the same time.

Act immediately correcting all these details, or your risk your team being disqualified from HGL-PL, or receiving forfeit losses in HGL-PL, which eventually would put you in lousy league table position should you be the only team to forfeit matches.

I have invited MLS for our Round 1 match (on neutral court) and still waiting for response. Also waiting for match invite from TD for Round 2. Thanks

Thank you for your response and update on situation. This is very good practice to keep me up to date.

As you still have few things that are required to be done, I'll compile them here:

This is the inconvenient side of an all-manual league - I have no access to any of "inside data of BB/view under the hood", so while I have no motivation to suspect what you wrote isn't true, I have no way of confirming which is the case. This is why it's best to avoid confusing situations altogether, as we don't want to make HGL-PL either "a prove it by screenshot"-type of league.
So let's just organize matches as quickly as possible. I understand it's highly frustrating for the manager who has completed their part of the story, but can't fulfill their duties while other managers are not doing their part of the job.

- when you organize matches, note that it needs to have same time of the day as your Round 3 match against San Fernando VR; all other times are not valid match times, so organize all exactly at the same time.
In other words, for instance Round 1 match needs to be reorganized to start 1 hour before current match time (match number 139721682)!

Act immediately correcting all these details, or your risk your team possibly receiving forfeit losses in HGL-PL, which eventually would put you in lousy league table position should you be the only team to forfeit matches.
Again, this is the same problematic situation (to prove who is the faulty manager if matches haven't been organized/links provided) as we face in HGL each Season, but by not letting things slip we've kept the damage at bay so far.

@ Everybody playing in HGL-PL please note:
Match links provided after match has been started never count!
It will be decided whether or not rematch would be done at later time in that occasion (if match isn't organized in time), or whether both teams would receive forfeit loss if it couldn't be proved whose mistake it was due to, that match wasn't organized/link provided.

@all HGL-PL managers:

We have less than 3 days until the start of HGL-PL, and there are multiple things left to be done.
TD and BOR have been sent BBMails and forum messages to correct things, MLS will be sent one soon (EDIT: BBMail sent).

As far as current situation in HGL-PL goes, we have:
- 3 matches organized correctly
- 1 match organized at one hour too late (reorganizing needed; MLS-BOR on Round 1)
- 2 match links missing altogether.



If you wonder how should you proceed, San Fernando VR is the only HGL-PL team who is currently good to go for HGL-PL, and only team which has completed their whole match organizing and box score creation-project completely and has no mistakes/faults in his own box score post. Apologies for setting the wrong date on the Round 1 match. I have sent a new pickup match invite to MLS which I believe has the correct timing now.

For Round 2, I have not received the match invite yet - I believe TD is to send it, based on the # sign on the schedule? Please let me know if I missed anything else.

I am making my team (137833) HG. In 4-5 days the process should be finished. Hope to be able to play in HGL in season 7!!

I started playing in 2023, then almost exactly one year ago, I left the game. I have now come back. I usually like to play HG in other games, and although I started with a normal rebuild (thus my extra 5 players), I saw the posts about the HGL and went: that's great! Let's do this now (turn HG).

I responded to you in Homegrown teams (II) thread, so that all other potential future HG(L) managers would see that information too - please see the post, here: (324689.824).

If you think HG is the way to go, let me assure you, you have come to the right place, my friend.. ;)

As far as participating to HGL goes, we have changed it so on this Season, that you have to go through HGL-PL (links that provide more information for you were provided on that reply to you, link to it above) and best teams in HGL-PL each Season are then offered a place in HGL for next Season if there are open places.

In other words, if you would participate to HGL-PL on Season 6 (during next BB season), in doing so you would fight for place/places in HGL for Season 7, should some teams withdraw/be fired from HGL.
This Season we have following teams participating to HGL-PL - it's unfortunately too late to participate, but on next Season you're welcome to participate to HGL-PL, if your team is eligible when it starts... See participating teams of HGL-PL on Season 5, here: (331392.21).

You are 100% correct that TD is supposed to send it. I am not sure though whether or not he has understood that obligation completely, as you said he hasn't done that.

If you want, you can also send TD match offer (to ensure this process would go smoothly) if you want to use one extra token by doing so. If you do send an offer though, please send it at correct time.

Easy way to see what correct official time for match is is, is to check your "regular BB schedule". If you know some HGL-PL match is played at correct time (like you do know), then send/accept challenges only at that same time of the day, as that's the official HGL-PL match time.

@ VR75/San Fernando VR:

Please remember that it's of utmost of importance to fire Javid Bolourchian before HGL-PL starts.
If he's not sold, if you fail to fire him in time, then you would be disqualified from whole HGL-PL on Season 5 (and of course we don't want that). So please fire him on Sunday 19th of July, if he isn't sold for any money.

Can you please report me if there are bids placed on him (I know he will be sold) or when you have fired him?

If you want to make some extra money (I don't know if you would be able to sell them for expensive price, or if it would be more affordable to fire them to avoid weekly wages - I didn't "evaluate" the value of your roster), you can also take your time to sell them.
In order to participate to HGL-PL, you don't have to be HG eligible team when HGL starts. You only need to be HGL-PL eligible one day before HGL-PL starts, which will likely be at the end side of next Season (perhaps slightly earlier though than on this Season).

It's tempting since two of my transfers are interesting, but I've scouted a great draft prospect that I want to build around.

I'm last right now after coming back to a 0-19 record. If I win today I'll finish second to last, but since the bottom team is a bot, there's only a 1/48 chance it auto-picks my guy. I had a lot of scouting points—unfortunately, I spent them all because I forgot they carry over!

I'm ready to fully dive into the HG challenge now and focus 100% on training my trainees, in the long term, that would mean my team is slightly better once I get into the HG-PL (I think)
