I would like to participate in future HGL-PL, to try and fight for a spot in season 7.

My team (137833) should be fully HGL compliant in 4 days or so. I have my 5 non HG players for sale, most since yesterday, one since this midday. If they don't sell, I'll just fire them.

If you want to make some extra money (I don't know if you would be able to sell them for expensive price, or if it would be more affordable to fire them to avoid weekly wages - I didn't "evaluate" the value of your roster), you can also take your time to sell them.
In order to participate to HGL-PL, you don't have to be HG eligible team when HGL starts. You only need to be HGL-PL eligible one day before HGL-PL starts, which will likely be at the end side of next Season (perhaps slightly earlier though than on this Season).

It's tempting since two of my transfers are interesting, but I've scouted a great draft prospect that I want to build around.

I'm last right now after coming back to a 0-19 record. If I win today I'll finish second to last, but since the bottom team is a bot, there's only a 1/48 chance it auto-picks my guy. I had a lot of scouting points—unfortunately, I spent them all because I forgot they carry over!

I'm ready to fully dive into the HG challenge now and focus 100% on training my trainees, in the long term, that would mean my team is slightly better once I get into the HG-PL (I think)

Yes, I got a level 5 trainer. Will have to look at feasibility of secondary coach.

There are not enough players in Spain to completely fill division IV (my team has gone down without me 2 or 3 times, and remained at IV). We should get around 2 bots per group.

The draftee is a SG, all the three 5/5 draftees are 6'0 to 6'2. This one has good abilities already, he is 6'1'' and has strong Jump Shot/Outside Defense and proficient Jump Range/Driving. The plan, depending on the rest of the draftees, is to use single position training (although maybe for a new HG team better would be to train dual and get more guys better at first?) and train the usual suspects: Outside Shooting, Outside Defence and One on One.

For now, Morillo IS in that plan, yes. Maybe play/train him as SF.

Any advice or tweaks on the order of skills to pop first is highly appreciated!

Based on what you wrote, and also based on that you don't communicate with me or with any of us (on HGL forums) anymore.

But please confirm to me which one is the case for you; yes or no, to your continuing in HGL?

I will still give you little bit more than a week to respond to this message.

Unless I hear from you at the end of the next week, by 26th of July 2026 at 23.59 Swedish time (July 27th 00.59 EET DST) at the latest, I have no other options than to drop your team out of HGL for Season 6.

You can always apply to HGL again, by participating to HGL-PL (and get back to HGL by being successful in it, if there are open places in HGL for next Season).

But please don't exit HGL by not saying anything.

@all HGL-PL managers, note few things:

- It is unsure whether or not Tassie Devils (TD) will participate to HGL-PL or not, and/or whether his team is handed forfeit losses due to possibly not completing HGL-PL tasks before HGL-PL starts tomorrow.

In other words it is unsure if matches against him will be forfeit wins for you. But please set up your tactics/lineups so that you expect this to be a normal, competitive match against Tassie Devils (TD).
(Remember, that in theory, in some special/extreme cases, even both teams can be handed a forfeit loss for the same match, and while this would be rare and complicated, I hope we don't need to go there as that's in some cases "grey area" where proving this or proving that will come into the picture, and we don't want that as it's in some cases impossible, and in rest of cases frustrating and/or inconvenient and/or arduous).

- Remember, that it's important to fill your box score with actual scores (in written numbers) after matches have been played.

- Be prepared to accept invitation to HGL very soon after HGL-PL has ended, as match organizing window for HGL Season 6 will open not long after HGL-PL on Season 5 has finished!
Team will need to answer to a BBMail quickly, when place to HGL is offered, or otherwise next team on the line (based on HGL-PL success) will be offered a place. This 'quickly' is currently undetermined, but as we are pressed in time, it will mean days rather than week(s), as we need to be able to proceed with HGL match organizing - impossible to do that without knowing which teams will play.

- Note that current HGL team, Hårdboll, has been given time to respond until the end of next week (July 27th, 00.59 EET DST) whether or not they want to continue in HGL. This will affect to amount of open places on HGL on Season 6 (1 or 2).

- 2 of 4 box score posts complete; ; MLS has one missing match from box score post; TD has not created box score post at all.

- All HGL-PL teams rosters have been once again confirmed to be HGL-PL eligible; also SAN's roster is now okay, after getting rid of their player J. Bolourchian

- @M.L.S. REICH: organize match against TD nevertheless ASAP, even though we don't know if that will count or not. Also complete your box score post for yout team, when you have match number available (when match has been organized).

HGL Season 5 is now done and dusted, and medal ceremony is just about to begin.

History seems to have repeated itself - Virtus Portici (SventraCanestri) remains the HGL Champion, Rajdersi (Paul George) the Silver medalist, and KK Stihija (Pihija) the Bronze medalist of HGL Season 5 - just the same trio as we had taking the HGL medals to their countries (Italy, Poland and Bosnia-Herzegovina, respectively) on Season 4.

In both matches - played in front of total of slightly over 10000 spectators - home teams were able to cruise to a relatively comfortable (yet not absolutely dominating) 14 point victories; in the case of KKS-VIV match though, the difference before 4th quarter was "only" 10 points, so in that sense game was still very much undecided at that point.

Congratulations to all above mentioned managers, yet strengthening their position in an all-time HGL medal table! And again, people tend to look only at medalists, but let's not forget to get out hats off for Vilniaus „Vilkai“ (coached by kecal), who were able to reach 4th place and surpass many more expensive teams (with their $463K top8-salaries) on Season 5.


@VPO: please add match link to your box score post immediately. These should be added there before matches begin.

@all HGL managers: please check out your box score posts on Season 5. If you haven't done work needed to be done, now is the last time to do that.
Remember to also add abbreviations for your Playoffs:

AQR2 =Automatically Qualified to Round 2 of Playoffs
(used by Top 4 teams of RS, on PO Round 1)

(teams ranked 13-17th in RS, didn't qualify for PO)

You all know it's a requirement to keep on editing it throughout the Season.

It's one of those aspects, in where I hope we don't need to start enforcing penalties (for instance, forfeit losses on next Season, until previous Season box score is corrected - trust me, I can think of several penalty scenarios, yet I'd prefer not to apply any if decently possible; however, if it starts to create too much work for me to keep on checking that out and reminding managers again and again for simple task, that could be the only reasonable way to find solution by using warning and/or penalty system).
