I can't notice myself on challenge responsibilities list. Anyways, I've 100+ tokens left and I'm happy to use them.

You entered HGL so late, that I think that's why I had not remembered to add you to that list. I no further requests will be made to reduce token usage, I'd expect your challenge responsibilities would be at least approximately the same as they were on Season 4. Thank you for letting me know you're ready to use them though!

It's good to know you also are willing to use extra, if/when need arises to edit "tokens required per RS"-number for some teams.

Letting you know of a transfer I made that I bought back my ex-draftee Taavi Noorhani (54469202) to bolster my game for the coming season.

Thank you for your information LennuK., I need to update that information a bit later to transfers-post, and maybe also edit participating teams-posts' salary part, and possibly salary benefit post for S4... However, it's slightly debatable, because Season 4 has already ended so you didn't receive that SB during S4, while transfer still has taken place during S4, and it might mess up things later if markings didn't match the exact season they've taken place on..

Yes, it makes sense. However, what I meant from my behalf is that who can remember after multiple HGL Seasons (if these don't occur regularly), that what policy has been used for which marking (as it'd be good to remain in same standard Season after Season), if multiple exceptions are being made... That's not obviously your problem, but I was just emphasizing my earlier point.

He is a classy addition - would be to any HGL team really - and with this transfer it's likely you took a big-ish upperhand in our Season 5 RS meeting, which was initially expected to be very even.

As for where we stand with Season 5 preparations, I'm creating content for Season 5.

Not much will be changed (locations of some posts will change, but there's logical reasons for that; content wise it will remain mostly the same it seems) from Season 4, so if you really are familiar with everything, then Season 5 preparations should go smoothly.

However, what isn't necessarily that smooth at all are these pre-season tasks.
I seem to try to actively forget the arduousness of them after each pre-season.

The point was that I planned to do most of the work today, but as I again dived into the process, I was reminded of all things that need to be done; simply copy-pasting isn't the solution, as none of the links for instance update themselves (and when you do any changes to content location, it causes a tangled mess with links, which don't auto correct themselves) and most links for next Seasons' Thread simply don't even exist (yet at that point).

Anyway, the point was that I wanted to publish new threads already during today/tomorrow, but I don't know if that's realistic at all to get them published even tomorrow (I'd have to do other than HGL things as well).

If it's not realistic to do it the typical way, then it's possible for me to:
A) publish Season 5 schedule here on Season 4 Thread(s)
B) send each of you a challenge, so then you easily see what's the Official match time for HGL Season 5
C) after we've got the match organization process started, I can finish Season 5 threads and publish them when they're ready.
Remember, while you will have to create your own box score post for Season 5 as well, it is possible to organize matches before that's done. (Then you can create that box score post after S5 thread is published, and add match links to that post of yours, just as usual).

It is necessary for all of us to get started with this Regular Season match organizing project fairly soon.

So all just keep on following these Official HGL Threads, so I'll let you know which way we do it this time (traditional way, everything to new Season 5 Thread, OR by sending Season 5 schedule on this Thread).

I can send more than 11 challenges, if necessary.

My problem is that i use the app to play BB. I don't get forum notifications, and I can't read and write post on the forum.

So I apologize for the delay in responding.

I think that many HG teams are more stronger than last season, so i am sure that i could lost some matches next season.

@all HGL managers participating to Season 5:

I will publish Season 5 schedule first here in Season 4 HGL Thread, so that we can get started with Season 5 match organizing process immediately.
(It's a schedule that I already sent here, and at least MrJ confirmed it's correct: (329501.242))

Official match time for Season 5 will be your local equivalent of 3.30PM, a.k.a. 15.30 EET DST (Eastern European time, Daylight Savings Time).

I will also now send all match challenges to you all (except to EOS/LA-LennuK. because BB doesn't yet let me to do it until tomorrow), so after you've accepted my match offer, please check your BB schedule-page to see what is the official match time for HGL Season 5, and arrange all Regular Season matches at that same time for each of 17 Rounds (or first 16 Rounds; you can arrange that 17th match in coming days).

In other words, official match time for Season 5 is the same time that you play your Regular Season match against my team, Wagner College (WAG).

I might also publish my own Season 5 box score post here on Season 4 Thread first (and then migrate it to Season 5 Thread once that's created).
That would be done only to make this exceptional process smoother for you guys, if you'd for instance want to already create Season 5 box score post (by copying my message and editing it) and save it to your own device (for example as a Word-file), in order to copy it to Season 5 Thread later.

We will have same teams and use same schedule on Season 5 than we used on Season 4.
However, as mentioned before (and as it stands in HGL rules), due to Daylight Savings Time being used in Europe currently, match time will change for Season 5 (from time that was used during Season 4).

So when creating your own box score post, you could theoretically proceed by copying your Season 4 box score post, which could theoretically save some effort.
This would present another challenge though, as then 17 other teams would have to make total of 289 match day changes/entries to their Season 4 box score posts, and that causes a big room for error.

So this is the reason why I would strongly recommend using my box score post as a base (as you guys apparently normally use) so copy paste my box score post for Season 5 and edit it (your team name instead of my abbreviation, "WAG", and change your opponent names for each Round), as then it ensures all match invitations are sent on correct match days.

Exceptionally here (on 'old' HGL Season Thread) below you can find published schedule and my team (WAG/Wagner College) box score post for Season 5.

We will do it this way, because I can't find time even today to finish creating content and publishing Season 5 Thread (I'll try to get that done tomorrow, but we'll see if that's possible; now that schedule is published though, you can proceed with match organizing process normally, so it shouldn't be problem as nothing changes in terms of typical match organizing process, other than starting it here on old Seasons' Thread).

Please proceed with Season 5 Regular Season match organizing process immediately, based on Season 5 schedule posts below.

Please note that match time is different for Season 5; see your BB schedule and organize everything at the same time that my (Wagner College) game on Season 5 will be played against your team).


Remember, you don't need to have created a box score post in order to be able to start organizing matches for Season 5, so as said, everybody please do proceed with this Season 5 match organizing process immediately as we have only about 13 days before Season 5 starts.

If you need a memory refresher on the process, see for example this post: (329501.2) (and if necessary, HGL rules posts on match organizing, or ask advice on forum or from me by BBMail).
Naturally, you can't follow the process 100% as instructed, as Season 5 Threads aren't yet published.
You could, however, do most of the work already (organize matches), and possibly create and save your own teams' box score post for Season 5 on your device (computer, tablet, phone...) if it's possible for you.
