Exceptionally here (on 'old' HGL Season Thread) below you can find published schedule and my team (WAG/Wagner College) box score post for Season 5.

We will do it this way, because I can't find time even today to finish creating content and publishing Season 5 Thread (I'll try to get that done tomorrow, but we'll see if that's possible; now that schedule is published though, you can proceed with match organizing process normally, so it shouldn't be problem as nothing changes in terms of typical match organizing process, other than starting it here on old Seasons' Thread).

Please proceed with Season 5 Regular Season match organizing process immediately, based on Season 5 schedule posts below.

Please note that match time is different for Season 5; see your BB schedule and organize everything at the same time that my (Wagner College) game on Season 5 will be played against your team).


Remember, you don't need to have created a box score post in order to be able to start organizing matches for Season 5, so as said, everybody please do proceed with this Season 5 match organizing process immediately as we have only about 13 days before Season 5 starts.

If you need a memory refresher on the process, see for example this post: (329501.2) (and if necessary, HGL rules posts on match organizing, or ask advice on forum or from me by BBMail).
Naturally, you can't follow the process 100% as instructed, as Season 5 Threads aren't yet published.
You could, however, do most of the work already (organize matches), and possibly create and save your own teams' box score post for Season 5 on your device (computer, tablet, phone...) if it's possible for you.

Info about Regular Season (RS) and Playoffs (PO) match days for HGL Season 5:

Teams face each other once during RS on neutral court.
Match days will be Mondays and Fridays (+2 matches on Sundays) during Regular Season (RS) and only Sundays during Playoffs (PO).

In PO home court advantage always goes to better team, which is determined by Official Regular Season Rankings (ORSR).

PO is a single-elimination tournament, only exception being a Semifinal, from which losers proceed to a Bronze match.

@all participating managers: you need to provide a similar kind of list (as seen below, underneath the line of stars), a.k.a. your team's own box score post on Season 5 HGL Scores-thread (once that Thread is soon published), before Season 5 starts. For new-to-HGL managers instructions on how to easily create this is found on messages (326590.42) and (326590.43).
While instructions remain correct in previous 2 links (apart from amount of matches played; 17 Regular Season Rounds are played on Season 5, and not 15), they refer to HGL Season 1 match days.

But to put it in short, you're free to copy-paste this into your HGL Season 5 box score post (once that Thread is published; meanwhile you can create and save your box score post in text editor of your computer/phone if you want), and just change your team name to replace 'WAG', and your opponent name for each Round, and add match box score link (match number) instead of 'xxx' (at [match=xxx]) to all Regular Season matches when matches have been organized.

I'd like everyone to follow this sort of structure (in your own box score posts) to keep it easier for me to interpret. You may edit it a bit, but please keep all essential information in it.

You'll need to keep on adding scores of the matches to your own box score posts during the whole season when matches have been played.

Season 5 schedule is now published (exceptionally first on HGL Season 4 Thread, but it will be moved to Season 5 Scores Thread once it has been established and it's content created), so every manager participating on HGL Season 5 should now start organizing Season 5 Regular Season matches, as this is an essential pre-season task for everyone.

Like you can see, necessary data is available for you all now to start sending and accepting HGL Season 5 matches.

However, having to play with BB post character restrictions and such meant that process once again took so much time so that I didn't had time enough left to send you all Pickup match invitations.

If you feel 100% confident you understand/know what's correct official match time for Season 5, you can already proceed with match organizing. If times prove to be wrong though, matches will be required to be reorganized and lost tokens will result, so proceed only if you accept that risk.
Match time for Season 5 is, as mentioned, your local equivalent of 15.30 (3.30PM) EET DST.

I try to send everyone (apart from EOS) PU match invitations at much later today (or at the latest tomorrow).

@all HGL mangers, important:

I have now sent everybody Pickup (PU) match challenges for HGL Season 5 matches at correct time.

So now that you all hopefully immediately start arranging (sending and accepting PU match challenges) for Season 5, please make sure all matches are played at the same time that your match against my team (Wagner College/WAG) shows it will be played, when you look at your BB schedule.

As a reminder, match time for Season 5 is your local equivalent of 3.30PM a.k.a. 15.30 EET DST.
So in other words, for me match time shows in my schedule at 15.30 (because I'm at EET time zone).
On the other hand, for instance for French, Italian, Polish and Spanish teams match time should be shown in their BB schedule as being played at 14.30/02.30PM DST (unless I'm mistaken in some strange way).

We're bit late this pre-season compared to previous HGL Seasons (and will suffer at least one day BB maintenance break next week that will steal even more of our organizing time), so I'd like to ask everyone to organize matches rather quickly.

Sorry for not having time to establish Season 5 Threads yet, but at least we should be all good in that sense because all the specs to organize matches are there (even though it seems not all matches have again been organized at correct time).

Then when S5 threads are created, I'm also going to have to ask everyone to create their box score post quite quickly.

It would make that creating your own box score-process on Season 5 Thread a lot faster, if everyone (who is capable of doing that) would actually make/finish their box score post before Season 5 Scores Thread has been published (by saving a ready box score post to their device, which they would be then easily able to copy-paste into their Season 5 box score post).

I had too...but they were the wrong times. I managed to cancel 3 of the 4. The 4th, Hardboll, accepted it already. I have sent him a bbmail explaining the error and sent a new PU match.

THE ERROR: I was in Vietnam last year when doing invites. Vietnam is 1 hour earlier than Australia, hence the mistake.

4 New (and correct) invites are going out now.

Thanks for info, it's always good idea to keep me on map.

I sent HB, MAD and TRO BBMail today because they had not yet accepted my challenge for RS match on Season 5.

According to VPO, HB had used wrong match time when sending challenge to VPO. I'm using this just as an example (other problems may or may not occur) to remind everyone to be accurate with match times.
I do understand it can get sometimes complicated/confusing, but we'll be able to manage it for sure, as long as everybody takes care of checking out match times, and responding quickly enough to correction requests if there are any.

So, everybody please check out your match time from your BB schedule on HGL Season 5 against my team, Wagner College, and organize all Season 5 matches at that same time.
