Has the new management considered changing the GE, at least regarding home-court advantage?
Right now, it feels almost impossible to beat a higher-seeded team in the playoffs, especially in the Finals. In real-life basketball, home-court advantage doesn’t seem to have nearly as much impact anymore, particularly with experienced NBA players.
The current GE has favored higher seeds for a long time, and it’s starting to feel a bit excessive. It almost feels like if you finish as the #1 seed, you can coast through the playoffs and still end up winning it all.
Has there been any discussion about adjusting this part of the GE? Thanks!
