The Philippines Showed Up; Fitness to Follow
The Philippines faced Lebanon in the second game of the season. Unfortunately for the Philippines, a lot of key players were not ready to play due to their poor game shape. However, the players who had great game shape still managed to show up and grab a win against Lebanon with a scoreline of 112-97. Lyle Morrissey lead the way and dropped 41 points with 4 boards and 2 assists. Dave Lemoncito and Rodante Castellano played their role and grabbed 22 and 16 rebounds respectively. Our guards, Raul Remaneses, who recorded 23 points and 6 assists, and Gabino Cabello, who added 18 points and 7 assists, orchestrated the offense for the Philippines. A new face has also entered the team, where USPS Mailers' Geoffrey Negradas finally plays for the National Team and finished the game with 4 points 5 rebounds and 1 block in 15 minutes of action.
