<3 Perhaps a member with certain role could add it to the 2022 BuzzerBeater Knowledge Base thread in the BB-Global (English) forum if they find this "fact" worthy to be included in the goated thread (314816.1) or some nerdy enthusiast can create an updated 2026 BuzzerBeater KB and FAQ

Hi,

this in deed is a "well-known problem". As the game gives big advantage to long term gamers, for newcommers it is difficult to enter higher claims/ higher leagues. Just take the long term benefits of the arena as well as the long term benefits of the infrastructure. A newcommer (btw. me, in terms of BB I am a newcommer) does not have these benefits. Thus, no additional income out of the infrastructure, thus financial disadvantage compared to the long term gamers. To close this gap is nearly impossible.

You need time and patience - muuuch time and muuuuch patience. In fact you have this situation as described by you in every country/ every league.

One possibility is, when a long term manager gives up the game (scenario that in fact we do not want). However, in this case a "newer" team might have the chance to take that place. Other possibility is very long term development. For this you need - exactly - time and patience :)

thank you for your response :)

Last week I had 6 million in the bank. I bought two guards to help balance my team for the playoffs, thinking it would be enough to get me to the finals at least. Now I am at 5 million, looking to offload them as fast as possible after my unexpected loss haha. This is why I reached 6 million to begin with! I was/still am terrified of spending my money. The risk of it being wasted is too high. I need someone to teach me how to get better at timing these investments lol

thanks for the advice, i'll invest some of my savings into expanding my arena.

what confuses me is how i always seem to receive merch revenue that's less than league average. despite the fact that i have a mostly canadian squad every season, and almost every season i have one of my players in the u21 NT roster. i look at some of the other team rosters in my league and they tend to have so many foreign players. so i really don't understand what i'm doing wrong there. made me stop caring about searching only for canadians on the transfer list

My advice (pls. don't blame me if I might not be 100% on path) for your money:

1) Invest in your arena to reach 19K - 20K spectator place asap
2) Invest in your arena to reach 19K - 20K spectator place asap
3) Invest in your arena to reach 19K - 20K spectator place asap - not to believe, but it is the most important thing :)

After you reach that - next step merch store lvl1; better lvl2 or lvl 3, depending on your possibilities - here also to help to increase your passive income.

Than I would go for the arena design - a highly personal decision from my point of view. As i plan to stay till my RL-retirement in BB, I will go for sure for the 4M arena as it gives the highest return in the long run. If you also can/ want to spend 4M is - as mentioned before - a very personal decision of you.

After you activate all possible active and passive income possibilities for your team, only than I would recommend to start to foster team streghth and team developement possibilities like training court and gym. Same time, I would try to keep my roster closely above the required league salary floor to avoid unneded expenses.

This in fact is more or less also my personal short to mid term plan for my teams finances :)

As per my information, among others, merch revenue depends on how good (or bad) your players perform in the league and how high they might be ranked in your leagues top lists for pts. reb and ass.
